The Apollo Moon Hoax: Page 2 <<Go Back to Previous Page || Go Home Eighth:: "A so called physicist says that when astronauts moved around in the LM, it would shift the center of the mass of the LM, throwing it off balance. But the landing was smooth, therefore, NASA faked it." This dude is wrong... period. The LM was not made by idiots like him, it was made by engineers who knew what kind of controls are required in the LM, and balancing the center of mass is a very basic design objective. There was a feedback control system installed by the engineers. The engine nozzle could also gimball to compensate for the changes in the center of mass. Even if the astronatus stood still like statues, the fuel shifts also cause the center of mass to change.. and the rocket engineers know that. So let the hoax believing idiot take some sessions from a freshman college physics student.
Ninth:: "When the LM took off from the Lunar surface, there was no visible flame from the rocket. So NASA faked it." Who is the half-wit nimrod who said that every rocket needs to generate a visible flame? The fuels used by the LM (mostly hydrazine and dinitrogen tetroxide), produced no visible flame. Tenth:: "If the videos of the astronauts on the moon are doubled in speed, it looks as if it was done here on Earth." This is really stupid. I took out my collection of the videos, and even after doubling their speed, it didnt seem as if it was shot on earth. The way they walked, ran, and when the slid down, was all wierd. Even the lunar rover was not at all like it would be on Earth. Look at the dust that was thrown out from the treads of the tyres. They flew on a perfect parabolic curve. Eleventh:: "When the astronauts set up the flag on the surface of the moon, it was waving. There must have been a strong breeze, but there is no air on the moon. Therefore it was shot here on Earth." What the heck are these people thinking? Do they honestly believe that they couldn't have seen this when they were reviewing the video? If NASA could make this movie, then they wouldn't care to re-shoot the scene again.. I mean the director obviously would have known that. NO NO NO. The flag was waving alright, but it was on the Moon. While planting the flag, the astronauts had to rotate it, so that it goes down firmly on the ground. The rotating motion was transfered to the cloth, and because of absense of the air, there was no external force to stop the waving motion of the cloth. And if there was air that was waving the flag, why isn't the dust around the flag moving also huh? Twelfth:: "Every picture taken by the astronauts was perfect, every setting was done right. All the objects of interest were centered perfectly. It is impossible to take such pictures, especially with no viewfinder on the cameras which were mounted on the astronaut's space suit." Do these people think that going to the moon was just like a trip to Disneyland? These astronauts were going to the moon, and they practiced everything endlessly, including snapping pictures. It was imporant because these pictures were going to be a part of history. And not all the pictures were perfect. The general public sees only those pictures which are correct. NASA just wouldnt release a picture which had Neil Armstrong with his left hand out of the picture. Thriteenth:: "The crosshairs are behind the objects in several pictures. NASA obviously tampered around with the pictures, and added the crosshairs later on." This is just plain freaking ridiculous. Why the heck would NASA add the crosshairs later? They could definitely afford the cameras with crosshairs in them. The crosshairs, or "reseau lines" (technical term) are produced by a glass plate which is inside the camera, between the lens and the film... they have been around since a long time. They could have used the cameras while shooting it. But then yes, there is something erratic. Note that the crosshairs are behind those objects which are white. What happened was that the white colour actually bled over the black crosshairs, probably becuase the image was overexposed and oversaturated. Just as I said... These people (the Hoax guys) were never good at photography. Fourteenth:: "The radiation from the Van Allen Belts would have killed the astronauts even before the reached the orbit of the moon." A Russian Cosmonaut was also interviewed who said that the Russian Space Agency was worried about sending people to the moon because of the radiation. Yes, radiation is a very big problem for space travellers. The magnetic field of the Earth traps the radiation into the Van Allen Belts, which surround the Earth. All the Apollo spacecrafts had to go through this region. Yes, the radiation would have been really harmful if the spacecraft had stayed in that region long enough. But the Apollo spacecrafts travelled at a very high speed, so they were not exposed to the radiation long enough to cause any damage. The metal body of the spacecraft was sufficient enough to block most of the radiation. Fifteenth:: "The Apollo 1 fire was a set-up by NASA to shut the mouths of the three astronauts who were going to reveal to the world that the entire Apollo program was a hoax. NASA also killed other employees who were going to talk about the secret." These nit-wits have really gone far. I really don't know what the heck I should say to such disgusting claims. These idiots have no idea of photography, don't know what physics is, and now they just proved themselves about what I thought of them-- complete lack of common sense.
