Before I introduce you to
the rest of the family, I will tell you a little bit about myself......
I am
known on the "Net" as Dakota Sky. In real time I am known
as..."Cheri", "mom", "Dear",
"honey", "sweetheart", and "hey you". I keep busy working,
learning what I can about life, the net and building Web Pages. I have recently
discovered FrontPage 98, and am still learning the program... so please bear with me. If
you happen across something that doesn't look or work just right, please let me know...
I also spend a lot of time in the Zone as an
MSGZ
Sysop. My main objective is to help anyone who needs help. You can usually find me there
greeting people at the door or maybe playing an occasional game of spades, Monster
Truck Madness or Age of Empires.. :))
Recently, I have put together a series of pages
dedicated to the Old Zone and its Members. However, somewhere along the
line, the pages got deleted from geocities. That was a bad
day...:(( On a lighter note tho.... Zonia, ArizonaBunny, TheOriginalPanda and I hosted The Old Zone Reunion Tourney
on November 1st at 8:00pm Central time in the Kitchen of the New Zone. The turn-out was
fantastic, and a great time was had by all. The Division Championships went
to: Division 1 -- FoxyLynne and WaywardSon, with the Division 2 going
to Ayla001 and Shdwlord. The Grand Championship went to FoxyLynne and
WaywardSon.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in this event!!!
On May 16, 1998, we
held The Old Zone Reunion Anniversary Tourney. It was an awesome event and a
lot of fun was had by all... We included in this event, the areas of the Original Old
Zone. Hearts, Spades, Bridge, Reversi, Go, Chess and Checkers. Of all of these
areas... the only one that didn't have a tourney was Reversi. Not
that the hosts didn't try, but the interest was not there at that time.. :)

Christopher John
Christopher is 25,
and an avid sports fan. He and his brother, both cheer for different
teams. He likes the Minnesota Twins, and his brother likes the
Atlanta Braves. During the World Series, a few years back, our
household was very interesting to say the least! Chris is also
into motocross, football, wrestling, (although mostly with Corrine
now!) and low riders. He currently lives in Pipestone, MN and
is working towards furthering his education and spending time
in the Minnesota National Guard. On July 3, 1999 Chris and Corrine
were married
at Stavkirk Church (Chapel in the Hills) at Rapid City, SD. On
February 7th, 2000, Cara Justine Ripka was born!

Stacy
is 24 or will be on June 22 this year. She started her Cosmetology
training at Headlines Academy of Cosmetology in Rapid City,
SD,and
finished up at Southwestern Technical College in Pipestone,
MN, and is in process of purchasing a Salon in Jasper, MN. She
is interested in music, skating, hiking, camping, and her
friends. She has a very beautiful voice, and has won several
state awards during her last year in High School at Pipestone/Jasper
High.
Lance
is 21. He is currently serving in the US Army stationed in
Tennessee.
Update! Lance and his Destiny were married
on June 12, 1999 in Pipestone, MN at the Hiawatha Pageant Grounds
near the 3 Maidens.

Amanda
June
Amanda is 19,
and graduated
this year. She is a wonder..... :) On June 17th, 1999 she
left for Spain
with her Spanish Class. Although deathly afraid of flying,
she ventured forth on her adventure. Pictures are forthcoming.
Amanda has had some pleasant things happening this summer..
She is now dating
Roger. (who knows what is in the future for them!! :))
Amanda, like her sister, has a very beautiful voice. The
girls enjoy singing together on Karaoke Night, and singing
for Weddings, or anything else that happens along; that is
"if" I can get them talked into it..... They just sang at
their brother's weddings in June and July of 1999!!

Kayla is 12, and is interested in just about everything, except, keeping her room
clean....She has numerous collections, some of which are legitimate, i.e.
her Barbie Doll
collection (consisting on collector dolls starting the year she was born), her First
edition Stamp Collection, and a collection of Plates. Her not so legitimate collections
include: cats, bugs, grasshoppers, rocks, (I mean rocks! One she has is 12 inches long and
6 inches across), and other things to numerous to mention.... :) (Most of her collections are now confiscated by Greg Colton of Las Cruces, New Mexico. He stold them from her in August of 1999.)
Kayla is now in the 6th grade in Pipestone, MN. Welcome to Middle School, Kayla! :))

Life at the Hanson household is
never dull!! With greedy men stealing from defenseless women, a wedding in 1998, 2 weddings, a graduation,
a birth in 1999 and an expected new arrival in 2000, how can it be
dull? LOL
