HERETIC Definition

A heretic is one who's opinion or doctrine are contrary to church dogma, as if that helps! Dogma is a tenet or code of tetnets, a tetnet is a principle of belief. So to sum up a heretic is an unbeliever, there - that wasn't so hard, so why can Merriam-Webster say that? They define unbeliever as

1. skeptic
2. One who does not believe in a particular religion
