BBCs

If you're really looking for the British BBC click on it!

The BBC group of machines runs in my house on it's own ethernet. There is a BBC1 (PCXT) generally not on the network, BBC2 (AT Clone) on the net and UUCP connected via MV, BBC3 (386DX/40) running Linux, DOS, Windows3.11, BBC4 (486DX/66) running Windows 3.11 for CDR mastering, BBC5 which is my gateway linux system to the web (also has Win3.1, Win95 on it), Root66 (486DX/66) running Win3.11 (Laser printer spooler) or Linux and ROOT120 (486DX4/120) as the main household terminal running Windows95 and Linux. The newest addition is P233, a PentiumII 233 running Windows98 with most of the latest bells and whistles (PNP, AWE64...). If you call my house (7 Corona Ave., Nashua 883-0844). The phone is likely to be answered by voice mail even if I'm on the net. The net address for me there is bcw@techie.com. You can also reach my father (kenw@empire.net), my sister (valw@Osprey.Lunarwave.net), my roommate (jim@Osprey.Lunarwave.net), and mad who hops from provider to provider faster than I update web pages!

If I'm home it could be answered by me, or voice mail on ROOT120, or Linux on BBC3, or Waffle on BBC2. On the net, check out [ping] bcw@Osprey.Lunarwave.net. Really my server (BBC5/BCW) is on almost 24 hrs (shuts down to do some UUCP), but it' behind a firewall at ici.net right now. This can really be any of the machines BBC3, BBC4, or ROOT120 acting as bcw. I generally have a Talk Deamon running. If you get a modem you can login as new (or user name if you have one) go through the entry screens and check out that machine (whatever one it is). You are reading this from yet another of my machines: London.LunarWave.Net, currently a 486DX/33 which is attached to the ethernet at LunarWave.Net to provide me Web service and a 24hr machine on the net. It's also doing my main email at present.
