Particle Assault Cannon

The Particle Assault Cannon is an area effect energy weapon, sort of like an 
energy version of a Sniper snub-barreled cannon.  It fires a magnetic globe that explodes 
with far more force and over a larger area than normal PPC 
beams.  The mass, heat, and space requirements of the PAC are considerable,
but most pilots agree its sheer effectiveness is worth it.
