Notes: This is a small unit of 1000 points with no flyers or wizards and up to 50 points in magic items (a la GW Gamesday 'Mega-Battles' rules). It is also assumed that I will not know who my opponent will be beforehand. The first (main) unit consists of 19 Gors led by their Beastlord. He is equipped with a Helm of Many Eyes so that hopefully he will be able to kill whatever threat is in front of him before it can try to kill him. His leadership will also help against infighting. The nice deep ranks should help in combat. For the second unit I choose a Battle Standard to lead 12 Beastigors. He holds the Banner of Courage which will give his unit a total of 3 chances for break tests. Talk about sticking power (even with the 7 Ld) The last unit of Ungor Skirmishers should be put in front of the other two units. They should provide enough cover from races with missiles and are good cheap sacrificial units for a first wave. The Beastlord of the HERDSTONE |
