Kefka started out as a normal human, but as a child he was subjected to an untested experiment by the scientist Cid, under the authorization of the Empire. The process was simple, it would infuse Kefka with magical powers drained from Espers. But the process wasnt yet perfected, and on that day something in Kefkas mind snapped.
Kefka grew up knowing magic, one of the few people who was gifted with this amazing power, but due to that same experiment Kefka was now completely insane. He became one of the leaders of the Empire, and eventually started out on a quest to find, and restore "the statues". Kefkas dream was realized atop the floating continent, he took the power of the statues, and then killed Emperor Gestal. Then he changed the balance of the statues resulting in the rearrangement of the planets continents, and on that day the world was changed forever.
Kefka reigned from the top of a huge tower of debris collected from every corner of the world, like some sort of god, he spread chaos through the world with his unstoppable Light of Judgement that he used on many cities including Mobliz, reducing it to a smoldering pile of waste.
In order to face this mad man you must first fight your way through the Tower of Kefka, battling many monsters on your way there, including two of the Dragons, Inferno, Atma, and of couse the three statues. If you make it through the tower you are greeted by Kefkas nefarious laugh, as he appears ontop of a pile of debris protected by a pyrimd force field structure. Now the final battle will begin, you have to fight the three goddesses, now freed from their statue forms, Poltergeist, Doom, and The goddess, if you can make it past these tiers of terror, you then reach your goal, as Kefka, resembling a fallen angel flies down, and faces you, as in the background you can see the gates of heaven.
Kefka has two very powerfull attacks, the first is the most powerfull spell in any Final Fantasy - Fallen one. This spell reduces your entire party to either one, or two HP, there is one way to dodge this attack though. Fallen one is Kefkas opening attack so you must do this with extreme speed, have one of your party equiped with the Esper Palidor, and call it the second you have the chance. If you did it in time, Palidor will fly away with your party members, Kefka will cast Fallen one, and it will miss your entire party. After this the battle is much easier, you will not have to heal up, and you have already gotten four hits on him, from there cast Ultima, or Flare on him until the battle ends. (Note-Kefka can use Fallen one more then once, but if you cast Palidor in time and dodge the first Fallen one, you can usually take him out before he has the chance to use it again).
Kefkas second spell is a desperation attack, when he is almost defeated the screen will begin to shake, and Kefka will say his famous line " The end comes beyond chaos." When this happens a face will briefly appear near Kefka, and he hits you with Goner, a very powerfull attack.
