Protoss Units

Probes

These little guys are the backbone of the Protoss. They mine minerals and gas and are needed to build all buildings Probes are not very fast but they get the job done. Probes are built at the Nexus for 50 minerals.

Zealot

Zealots are the beginning units of the Protoss. They are the main land units till you upgrade further. There attack is lightning fast fists. To me it looks like they are punching something. They are more great in numbers. Have a lot of Zealots and you can take out some enemies. Zealots are great attack units. I recommend having a lot though!

Dragoon

Dragoons are great land units. They can attack land and air units. Their attack is a plasma ball. It is a very effective weapon, but only great when upgraded. These are also good in numbers. Having a few is ok for defense but to attack I would have a few more than normal. These Dragoons are very fast also. They have a great speed. I like these units a lot.

High Templar

These units have incredible power. Templars attack is a kind of mind power. It shoots more like. Its very effective, but the Templars best attack is its spells. The Templars have three spells. They are: Psionic Storm, Hallucination, and Summon Archon. These are great spells. Psionic Storm is more like a lightening strike. It is very effective against large groups of enemies. Hallucination is a spell that makes "fakes" of the units you use it on. An idea of what I mean is when attacking a town you would want to Hallucinate your units and lure the enemy off you. Its great. I love to do this to the computer or beginning players. Because they fall for it every time. The other spell isSummon Archon.This spell is for two High Templars. It actually morphs two Templars into this incredible unit the Archon. They are incredibly powerful. They are great units as well because they can attack land and air units with great powers! So Im my opinion Templars are great units. They are also great in numbers.

Reaver

Reavers are very very SLOW units. But their enormous power makes up for this slowness. Also the attack with scarabs that shoot out of the Reaver. When upgraded you can make many more than normal.These are great units but you must defend them when going to attack because they can easily be targeted by enemies. This is because of their slowness. But overall they are very powerful if you ever get them to the enemy.

Scout

Scouts are the first air units you get. They are not a bad unit to have. Their attack on ground units is like a machine gun and the attack on other air units is homing missiles. They are not very powerful but they are also great in numbers. I like to have a few of these around to guard my base and other units.

Shuttle

These are the air transports for units. They can carry a different number of units depending on size. They are slow as well but they have powerful armor. That can last may enemy hits. When upgraded they can move a little faster and have more armor. These are great for carrying enemies fast and efficient.

Arbiter

These powerful air units are great. They have 2 spells. They automatically cloak(make all units invisible to other units) all units around them and have a great speed. Their attack is a plasma ball but powerful. The spells that they cast is Recall and Stasis Field. Recall is a spell where u can call enemies or actually warp them wherever the Arbiter is. And it does this without moving. You could be on one side of the board and they can get the units you want from wherever. It can also allow your units to be called in form the battle field back to your base to recharge shields and other things. Stasis Field is a spell that allows you to immobilize any units friendly or foe. This stops the units and you are able to attack and the enemy cant do nothing about it. Great spell it is very effective but cost a lot of energy.

Carrier

These great enormous air units are the powerhouse of the skies! They can attack with these small units called interceptors. They are fast mobile units and kind bomb the units attacked. I love to make about 4 or five carriers and just wear out things. The only problem is that you lose site of your carriers and you might be getting attacked by the main ship. So when attacking get all units around the carriers with interceptors.

Observer

This small fast units are the eyes of the Protoss. They can spy on any enemy base without being detected. Well they can be detected by towers. But You can watch out for those. When upgraded they are very fast. These are great for checking out enemy bases.

1
