The following are true experiences various owners had with their Allieds. Feel free to email me any you may have.


Alan Eddy's Seawind was attacked by several whales and suffered only minor cosmetic damage.

David Scotford's Mistress pounded on rocks for 6 hours and suffered only scratches.

John Russell's Seawind washed ashore and destroyed a building, resulting in minor hull damage.

Sharon Cuzner's Seawind II spent six days in a gale, hit a whale, and pounded on sand for 2 hours in 1-foot chop, all with no damage, and bounced off rock at 8 knots with only minor cosmetic damage.

Chuck Houlihan's Allied 39 spent 10 days in a storm with winds of up to 70 knots and suffered no damage.

Walter Manning's Seabreeze was dragged across a dry reef after being standed on its side in low tide and suffered only scratches.

Bill Read's Mistress was gutted by fire that destroyed the interior, yet the hull and deck were undamaged.
