Summer 2001: Pics of Maine on Ames Terrace |
On our way up to Nova Scotia we made a point of stopping in Bangor Maine where Chris and his family had spent many summers and winters. Unfortunately we didn't stay as long as we would've liked to, but certainly enjoyed the time we had. All of these pictures are taken on Ames Terrace near Grandma Ames' house, Uncle David's, and Uncle Pete's house. The weather permitted us plenty of time to take as many pictures as we wanted, these are the ones without people. |

The thing in the front is a dingy, and there's an out house in the back for the dingy. |
An old weather worn post fence around a garden with barb and chicken wire. |
These trees house an old fort my sister, cousins, and myself would play in some time ago. |
X marks the garden behind the old gate |
A paradox of beauty and mudflats. There are still plenty of clams to be dug down there. |
This was my favorite post...if your aloud to have a favorite post |
This is a slogging seaweed creature going back out to sea. |
Here's the inside of the fort. We spent a lot of time cleaning it out. It's like a nature tent. |
Here's some kind of weed or flower or growing thing. The Mavica we use can only get so close. |
These are mutant trees lurching there way across the lawn. |
This is a path to the small dock behind uncle Pete's house. |
This tree is either laughing or wailing with its arms all over like that. |
A pile of lobster trap buoys with specific markings indicating whom they belong to. |
Here's a piling, I guess, it's a piling, and clouds in the water. |
Without flowers..... |
....With flowers |
If you get close enough to the ground it makes things look longer....duh.. |
And this is a starfish nailed to a door. It was all dried out and petrified, but the texture is neat. Didn't make a difference for that one.... |
