First off I must say that this game is quite a change from Squaresoft. This is by far the bloodiest, goriest, and most violent role playing game I have ever played. This game is WICKED!! And I really mean WICKED!! The cinema where you cut the Oracle's head off!!!! SICK!!!! This game is a blast to play simply because you always have something to look forward too. There are 25 min. of cinema in this game!! Every time you reach a new cinema or bat beacon, you just sit back and enjoy the love. They are all very well done. Also, the voice in this game is wonderful. You dont get any Resident Evil actors they pick up off the street. Kain could win an Oscar in this game!! However, the game also has its downfalls. The story is strongly lacking when you compare it to something like Suikoden or Squaresoft. Everyone in the towns say exactly the same things. The only strongly developed character is Kain and half the time you dont even know what your doing and why your doing it!! Also, dungeon after dungeon of the same old gameplay gets boring after awhile. Overall, I prefer Suikoden for the PSX any day but if action and violence is your thing, go for Kain!!
