These are by far the best graphics on the Virtual Boy. No pixelation
in the foreground, and hardly any in the background. Everything
is very detailed. The enemies are nicely done, and so are the
backgrounds.
Sound: 4.0
The sound effects are better than the music. They're pretty good.
The music is okay, but is sometimes annoying.
Control: 6.0
In Wario Land, the right control pad is not used. I find nothing
wrong with these controls. They're flawless. You can make Wario
jump, run, dash, smash, and fly (flying requires the eagle cap).
Funfactor: 6.0
This is the best Virtual Boy game around in most peoples' opinion. There
are alot of secrets. After you beat it, you can set a personal goal
to get all of the treasures. Between levels, there are mini-games
that you gamble your hearts and coins in. Wario Land also has a
nifty save feature.
3D effects: 6.0
Unlike some other games where the 3D effects of the VB are not used
in the gamepay (Panic Bomber comes to mind), Wario Land uses the 3D
effects in it's gameplay. You MUST go into the background at some
point in the game for a key or a treasure.
