I give these graphics a 6 because the character(s) in the background
look like a big blob! The facial expressions are superb, though. So
are the players that are close to you. Some of the graphics may seem
childish. For example, the net is made out of hearts, the clouds have
happy faces on them and so does the moon, and other things, but still,
it's a good game. Also, once in a while, you'll see a big boo, a ship,
a blimp, or a bird fly by. Very amusing.
Sound: 7.5
The music in the game is barely noticable, but some of it is very upbeat
and pleasant. The sound effects are good. If the ball is bouncing on
your left, you'll hear it on your left. If the ball is bouncing in the
background, it won't be as loud as it would be in the foreground. The
only reason this sound gets a 4.5 is because it's good, but it's not fantastic.
Control: 10
These has to be one of the easiest controlled games I've ever played.
You only use 3 buttons on the whole controller while you play(besides
start). A hits it straight, B lobs it, and you use the control pad to
move around. The control has to be the best part of the game.
Funfactor: 8.5
This game if FUN! There are 3 difficulty levels(I heard there's a 4th.
You'll get the code for it when you beat it on hard). You can also play
a doubles match. All the rules of tennis apply to this game. You choose
from 7 people. They are: Mario, Luigi, Princess, Donkey Kong Jr.(he's
called Donkey Jr. in the game), Toad, Koopa, and Yoshi. You can also
choose from playing 1 or 3 sets. It's a tennis simulator, though. You
get tired of it after a long while.
3D Effects: 9
This is also a good part of the game. The only reason this doesn't get
a 5 is because the ball doesn't seem like it's coming *at* you. The
backgrounds are BEAUTIFUL. It's like they are in layers. Even the title
screen is in 3D. The best background would have to be Princess' stage.
You see Mushroom Kingdom in the background.
