The graphics are okay in the foreground, but when you go into the
background, you become pixelated and wierd-looking. Mario looks
very good in the foreground and so do the enemies. All the characters
are nicely done. The backgrounds change about every few levels. The
backgrounds are very plain, and have very simple designs on them.
Sound: 6
The sound is not that good, but is okay. The music changes every
levels, if that. The sound effects are also okay. There aren't
enough, though. The music is not fast, and not slow, but in between.
Control: 7.5
When you try to hit an enemy in a different plane, you could swear
that you had it lined up right, but you still miss! I like how you
can use the right control pad as a sort of auto-command button.
Funfactor: 8
Do you remember the original Mario Bros.? Well, it's the same thing
except there's another plane added on. If you liked Mario Bros.,
you'll love this. The later levels are more fun and harder. There's
not a whole lot of enemies, but a satisfactory amount. This game
will take up alot of your time with over 40 levels. There's no password
backup. Instead, you can start from any level between 1 and 40. Don't
think you've beat the game when you beat level 40, because you haven't.
3D Effects: 10
This is one of the best Virtual Boy games going by how you incorperate
the 3D effects into the game. There's 2 planes that you can go back
and forth in as you please. Most of the enemies must be killed by
throwing a shell from one plane to the other, too.
