~*~Candidate~*~ ~*~Jr. Weyrling~*~ ~*~Sr. Weyrling~*~ ~*~Adult~*~

Trayzin rushed out onto the hatching grounds just behind Filinro and the other Falas Weyr candidates. The young teen still found it odd being at another Weyr to stand for a hatching. It just felt surreal to know these hatching grounds were not in existence in his own time. He would be long dead before the first riders arrived at this Weyr. That is as long as the trip goes as smoothly back as it did forward, he thought as he watched the small clutch shake before them.

There were very few people in the stands when the first three eggs broke, all were varying colors of blue but none more so than the one who came crashing into the candidates before Trayzin with an agitated cry. The young beastcrafter felt himself pushed back as the two boys before him were knocked over by the blue who’s eyes whirled fearfully. Without thinking Trayzin lunged forward as the blue tried clawing his way up into a standing position once more. Trayzin was shocked at how much fear he felt at as he grasped the young hatchling’s head then a burst of words hit him and he was sure either he’d gone crazy or a hatchling, this little blue was speaking to him.

Clouded Blue ToyozathTray! I saw you and then I did not see you! Thankfully you found me again. I am Toyozath! The little blue chirped at him causing the seventeen turn old to separate from the hatchling some to look at him in shock and then his heart to ache at the fear he heard in the hatchlings tones. They both unconcously moved away from the other candidates to calm Toyozath down but the blue then caught sight of the two young candidates he’d accidently clawed at in his hurry and fear to find his rider, Ack! Did I…?

“Toyozath… no, no! They’re quite all right. You didn’t kill anyone!” Trayzin interrupted knowing well already where the blue’s thoughts were going. Trayzin looked at the two boys who were crying like they were actually dying rather than only having a few scratches upon their bodies. He shook his head, I don’t think they’re ready yet, if they ever will be. You were ready though, right, Tr’zin? Trayzin, now Tr’zin, looked down at his bond though there was little difference in height when the hatchling sat up on his back legs. If you chose me, Toyozath, then I would wager that to be so. he started to guide the blue off the sands but as he lay his hand upon the blue he noticed that unlike most blues Toyozath was more than one tone of blue, Toyo, you look cloudy. I do? the blue replied and turned his head to look at his own body, slowly turning around as he did so causing his rider to silently chuckle.

Is that bad? he asked his eyes whirling with specks of worried mingled with the orange of hunger. “No it’s not bad at all, it’s a great and lovely color,” Tr’zin replied giving the hatchling’s head a quick reassuring hug, “Now let’s get you feed, you’re so hungry you’re making me hungry.” I am sorry, the blue replied dipping his head sheepishly. Tr’zin gently lifted the hatchling’s head to a higher height and immediately noticed the hatchlings confidence rise.

“We have a lot ahead of us, my friend,” Tr’zin smiled as he sat down in one of the first empty chair where a tub of meat already cut into hatchling sized bites. Toyozath waited until his rider reached for the first chunk of meat before opening his mouth trying to show the patience his rider seem to already have. We will accomplish it when the time comes. But food must come first, the clouded blue’s voice seemed to smile in his rider’s head causing the teen to chuckle, at this moment he could not picture anything more perfect than this moment, a moment between dragon and rider. Tr’zin couldn’t wait until he could see his brothers, sisters, and father again and see the amazement on their faces at his handsome clouded blue weyrmate.

Blue Chibi Flit SoruA chittering above the pairs head announced the arrive of another blue. To be exact, the little blue was Tr’zin’s chibi blue fire lizard Soru and he seemed quite irritated. What is that? the blue hatchling asked of his rider.

“That’s Soru, he’s a Chibi Fire Lizard or Chibi Flit,” Tr’zin replied trying not to laugh as the flit landed on the hatchling’s head only to be shaken off by the cloudy blue. Soru tried again to sit on his larger cousin’s head to which the blue shook his head again, dislodging the flit. When the blue fire lizard tired to land for a third time the clouded blue snapped warningly at the smaller creature, My head is not for landing on! The flit squeaked only to land on Tr’zin’s shoulders and hiss at the younger but much larger clouded blue dragon.

“Quit it both of you, there’s no need to fight over this,” Tr’zin eyeing his dragon warningly while doing the same with a tap on the snout of the flit on his shoulder. The boy had to resist the urge to chuckle as both blues shook their heads as if to shake the whole deal from their minds. Toyozath eyed the flit for a moment more then went for the food again this time not waiting for his rider to gather it for him.

“Easy, Toyo, I’ll get it for you, don’t want you to choke on your food.”
