"I was born in Ganatek Hold to a family of rider. You were either a rider of a runner or you were like my brother, C'fron, and were a dragon rider. Of this generation though my oldest brother was the only dragon rider until just resently when I impressed my blue Zhantrenth. I've been riding runnerbeasts as long as I remember so it was natural that I'd go into the craft as the majority of my family did."
"I went to my first hatching when I was about 5 turns old. My brother, Crisfron, was on the hatching grounds as a canadate. To my family's joy, a green named Trith picked him. When I had seen that I wished with all my heart that when I came of age that I would be Searched... That dream died turns later." the boy went quiet for a while. Seeker cooed at N'tron and the boy smiled softly rubbing the fire lizard's eye ridges before continuing.
"It was three turns ago was when my life changed, I thought forever. I was helping my father shoe some runners who were used in the bigger holds that had cobble stone rodes running through it. As I was taking a runner-sheo over to be heated in the fire I tripped over a spair tool, and instead of the shoe going in the fire my face did. Luckly I had my eyes closed. Unfortiantly my eyelids were, so to speak, burned together. That was the day my dream of being a dragon rider like my older brother died, or so I thought."
"In simpathy my brother, C'fron, and my sister, Crisma, got me two fire lizard eggs. When they hatched, I couldn't see them so I didn't know how luck I was. But as I started to feed Sight she started to let me see through her eyes and that's how I saw Seeker hatch and was a white. Filling both at the same time I soon filled Sight, and Seeker took over my sight showing me that Sight was a gold."
"Shortly after I impressed them a healer came up with an idea of how to seperate my eye lids so I could see for myself again," the bluerider hesitates here, "I won't go into any details here because just thinking about it could make a person bring up their lunch."
"As for how I was searched, it was durring the time when Talor Cliff Weyr was fighting thread shortly after gold Soranth had laid her eggs on the hatching grounds. There was nothing special about it, I just happend to be handing greenrider Beka her firestone sacks and her green, Reth, decided then and there that I was one who possesed the makings of a canidate. Guess that means I came here for a reason other than to be with my brother and his dragon," he chuckled as he mentioned this
"As for what I'm like, I guess I'm a bit of a stick in the mud since my experance in being blind, I don't, or at least try not to, judge anybody by their looks. I came here because I felt I might be of more use in a weyr... that and I like to be around my oldest brother and his Trith. Now my reason for being here is my hansom blue, Zhantrenth"
