Welcome to Brockville, the City of The Thousand Islands!

Where in the world could be prettier than the beautiful 1000 Islands region situated on the majestic St. Lawrence River between the United States and Canada, about 50 miles east of Lake Ontario.The original Indian inhabitants knew it as "Manitonna", or the "Garden of the Great Spirit".  There are actually over 1800 islands, varying in size. Most of the islands feature summer homes ranging from old-time cottages to mansions, and we even boast a couple of castles, the most famous of which is Boldt Castle on Heart Island.

Most of the boat tours stop here and it is a trip you will never forget. Of course, the famous Thousand Islands salad dressing was also invented here!

Visit Blockhouse Island to see the yachts and boats mooring.   Superb restaurants, dining rooms, cafes, pubs, bars, fast foods.   Tour museums, Athens' Murals, and Historical Forts all within a 15 minute drive.    Three International Bridges for sightseeing and shopping.    Sports: tennis, bowling, golf, sailing, scuba diving, fishing, hunting, hiking.    Enjoy Riverfest, Loyalist Days, and the Ookpik Winter Carnival.
