Day 3: The journey to Jiuzhaigou was a gruesome 12 hour bus ride, across the mountains and where the road was just centimetres away from the edge, plus a sand storm during our lunch break (and we witnessed the anti-law of gravity during loo-time!!) And I understand that Yanling and Huiluan had another added discomfort....and I shall applaud that they could actually stand the stench for 12 hours!!
Day 4 -5: We
started the day with a full breakfast of 'Lanzhou La Mian' and 'You Tiao'.
And Peiyee was busy writing down what we've eaten so far in her diary. Well, she
actually made an effort to write the food down in Chinese characters!!
Weather in Jiuzhaigou was
temperamental. We encountered bright sunshine, rain, chilly winds and ice all
within 1 hour!! 
But
still, the scenery was fantastic, and all is worth from the altitude sickness.
Jiuzhaigou means 9 Stockade Gully, while most people would describe it as 'fairy tale place on earth'.
It certainly lives up to it's name cos we really felt like being in another place altogether. The water in the lakes are all in a very fake greenish colour
(don't assume that we've put special colours in the photos!!), and it's a very peaceful place (except with the popular tourist spots, where people come in bus loads).
We've even made friends with our hosts and stayed there for a second night on the house!!

Our host Zuomanta had this puzzled look on her face when she found us staring blankly at the dark sky at night, only to find out that we were actually looking for stars(we don't get to see so many stars back home)!! We must have looked stupid then, cos there wasn't many stars that night!! hhhmm....
