THE CHRISTMAS TREE
by  mitch
All the pretty ribbons, so red and blue,
A heavenly face, a vision of you.
Ting-a-ling-a-ling, the sleigh bells ring.
Tis to you my darling, that I do sing.

Over the radio, the carolers are singing,
The sounds of sleigh bells softly ringing,
Brings  back visions of those times gone by.
I breathe deeply and softly sigh.

Oh silent night, oh Holy Night,
My darling wife, please hold me tight.
Hold me under the mistletoe,
Tell me that you love me, let me know!

Over the radio the carolers are singing.
The sounds of sleigh bells softly ringing,
Brings back visions of those times gone by.
I breathe deeply and softly sigh.

Remember those Christmases so white,
When you held me so close and tight.
Remember the children under the tree,
Looking up wide-eyed at you and me.

Over the radio the carolers are singing.
The sounds of sleigh bells softly ringing,
Brings back visions of those times gone by.
I breathe deeply and softly sigh.

True, the little tree was not big and grand,
But it was the very best in all the land.
Just two little girls, thee, and me.
Oh what a wonderful - wonderous tree!

Merry Christmas Kate!
SUMMER'S DREAM

Wafted through the night on a warm summer breeze,
High, oh so very - very high,
Your lilting laughter still rustles in the lofty leaves.
I still hear your sweet sigh,
Carried to me, by the soft summer breeze.
Through the darkness of the night,
I still hear your sweet sigh.
Sad it tis, that it fades with the coming light!
