When I remember my Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
Didn't mean to hurt her, but that is what I did,
When I left and took Blue Eyes in her stead.
The years have come and the years have gone.
Blue Eyes left me long ago and now I am all alone.
Now I'm standing here all by myself tonight.
Oh how alone I am, underneath this stary light.
Tonight I remember Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
Tonight my old broken heart feels the pain.
Oh how my face the tears do stain,
As I remember, Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
If I could but live my life over again,
You would never hear that old refrain,
About my Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
I'd never choose Blue Eyes again.
Now my Brown Eyes has died of sorrow,
So I cant go back on the morrow,
And tell my Brown Eyes it is her I love.
Can't tell my Brown Eyes it is her that I love.
So, don't leave your Brown Eyes crying in the rain,
Or my friend, you too will feel the pain,
As you remember Brown Eyes crying in the rain.
True love once lost, can never be known again.
