Sabastia
This is a photo of
the Mosque of Nabi Yaha (John the Baptist), which stands on the
site identified since Byzantium times as the place where John the
Baptist's head was buried. A church has also existed on the spot
since then.

These columns are the remains of a
huge Roman basilica and date from about the second century AD (relatively
recent for this part of the world!)
