Becki and Ian got engaged on July 31, 1998 on the National Mall in Washington D.C. near the Washington Monument. It is COINCIDENCE that this is the date of the wedding, but kind of nice anyway. The proposal involved a lot of lying to the future bride, but she forgave all involved pretty easily. Ian secretly arranged an entire amazing weekend with his future fiancee, including having his entire family drive from Virginia Beach and her entire family fly in from Chicago to share in the excitement on the day following the proposal, unbeknownst to Becki until suddenly they all showed up at lunch on Saturday! It was an amazing weekend, especially since many of those involved are NOT the best secret keepers!

This is a picture of Wilson Hall at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Ian and Becki met here their freshman year of college in 1994 and became friends. They began dating in the fall of 1995, their junior year.
Ian graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and relocated to Northern Virginia. He started his new job at American Management Systems in Fairfax as a Business Analyst. He lives with two roommates and hangs out with a lot of fellow JMU grads who also moved to Northern Virginia. Ian's favorite thing to do is drive on I-95 up to Philly most weekends to visit his fiancee!
Becki graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, and started physical therapy school just two months later at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. After living in only two places her whole life, New Lenox, population 10,000, and Harrisonburg, poultry capital of the east, living in Center City Philadelphia has been quite an adventure. Becki will graduate on May 21, 1999 with her Master's degree and hopefully a new job in Northern Virginia. She will also be glad to see Ian on more than just weekends!
