Yellowtail Snapper usually range from 1 to 2 feet, occasionally reaching 2 1/2 feet in length.
They are usually found betweeen 10 and 60 feet.
This fish is very common in the Caribbean, and common to Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, Bermuda, and both North American coasts.
Swimming in large, loose schools, these fish are unafraid and will often school around divers.
