Black Groupers grow between 1 1/2 to 3 feet, occasionally up to 4 feet.
They are usually found drifting near the bottom of the reef at depths between 20 and 100 feet.
This fish is commonly found in Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, Bahamas, and Caribbean.
Typically, Black Groupers are very shy and will hide when divers approach.
