Barracuda
Sphyraena barracuda
Barracuda
Barracuda usually range from 1 1/2 feet to 3 feet, but have been reported to be as much as 6 feet in length.
They are usually found from the surface to a depth of 60 feet.
This fish is commonly found along the Pacific Coast, the Gulf of Mexico, and throughout the tropics.
Typically, Barracuda are generally curious and may actually come in to check you out. As long as they are not provoked, they will leave you alone. Let them approach you if you want a closer look. Trying to get close to them will spook them.
