Unbelievable! I am still having to defend myself on this stupid quiz. That is the last time I will ever do this again. I guess I will dumb myself down the next time. I didn't even know if anybody else was taking this quiz. I got an email with myself the only one in the "To:" field inviting me to take this. But here is my question by question justification just to defend my friekin' honor (and Elizabeth, defending yourself in this league can become a common occurance...see the Dave Maurer sighting contest)

I knew this.

2. What Diamondbacks pitcher escaped from Cuba while playing a baseball game in the US?

I knew Valverde was from the Dominican, Oscar from Mexico, and I had never heard of Aquino meaning that I doubted my sister cared enough about him to put him in a question, so I went with Orepesa.

3. What team were the diamondbacks playing when Junior Spivey injured his ankle resulting in the call up of Matt Kata?

Being the only AL team on the list, it seemed that the only way it should be on there is if it were the correct answer.

4. What number did Raul Mondesi insist on having when traded to the diamondbacks?

I knew this.

5. What team did Hanley Frias go to in a trade for Chad Moeller (aka one of the best dback trades ever!)?

I knew this.

6. What was David Dellucci's walk up song in 2003 with the diamondbacks?

I missed this one. I knew he was a big Metallica/Megadeath fan, but Crazy Train was the only song I ever remember being played at a DBacks game.

I knew this.

I knew this.

I knew this.

10. Who was recently elected to be the team rep in the players union?

Honestly, a shot in the dark. Mantei seems too dumb, Gonzo seems too important, Colbrunn just re-joined the team and doubted he would take such a position, so I took a guess at Koplove.


As for you Lowell, if you didn't want your team, why did you bother keeping any of the players. Wouldn't you be in the same boat if you just didn't keep any of them? Or is your keepers that bad that you were trying to get greedy and not only get your wish of drafting a new team, but screwing someone in the process by giving them yours?
