I finally got to see Svelte at the Mayfair Festival @ Softball City
May 23, 1998!!

Hi thebandsvelte!!!!!!!

This photo makes it "look" like there were only 6 people watching... there were TONS more people behind me...

I'm using a little digital camera to take these shots! The resolution is sad! Poor Mark is somewhere there just to the left of Kerry's shoulder... Drummers never get into photos... he needs a big riser! Ü ... Too bad I didn't have video... The show was worth taping!
They were GREAT!!!!!!
and I mean that!!!!
I totally enjoyed myself!!! I was VERY nearly late for DMS!!!! (got there with ten min. to spare.. Ü ... I was doing lighting for them!)

 

My favorite funny bits of the show were the "extreme string breakage"
(one string per instrument... I think Oliver is still tuning his bass after changing strings!),
Martin falling on his ass during the first song and still playing great guitar!
And Gary "abusing" the people who wouldn't come inside the fence!

These people up front were HYSTERICALLY FUNNY!!! Much overacting and joking from the crowd... who were all still totally into the band after an hour & a half!! A few covers were played, all the big Svelte hits! Including
5-Alive TWICE (by popular demand!)
