Visit me! Say hello while you're there!

I'm not a guitar player, I'm a singer! I'm sorry about any mistakes.

The rhythm guitar is easy to play and lovely sounding.

I can't TAB the second guitar! If anyone out there knows enough about feedback and delay units to help me, please let me know!!! My email address is above... just click my name.
I've given some notes on general things to try. It's not hard to ad lib during this song... try making up your own parts.

I've included bass parts but I'm pretty sure the bass is acually played on the keyboard. It's really easy anyway!

Some notes from Matt Good!, "The sounds in inescapable were recorded by me dropping
guitars and doing other strange things with them. It's pretty much impossible to duplicate. The sound in the second verse is a e-bow, and the other instrument is a whirlitzer. The entire acoustic track was played through a phaser."
Which answers all my questions asked above! Thanks Matt!

If you want to print this I'd suggest printing it straight off this page! The TABs are in .gif format (because I think the .html kind are ugly) and will not be saved with the copied page unless you specifically do it! Have fun.

Music and Lyrics by Matthew Good © 1997 emi april music (Canada) ltd./ dunharrow music / bridgeburner music (socan) & © 1997 Darktown Records

Guitar 1 - intro & verse:
The strumming pattern is hard to TAB. Listen to the CD.

Guitar 2 - intro & verse #1:
There is NO CHANCE I can TAB this part! Sorry. (See Matt's notes above!)

Guitar 2 plays some extremely interesting guitar noises / feedback and harmonics / long held notes / etc.
The intro section might be frets 14 &15 on string #1 (high E string) also possibly added fret 15 on string #2.
The first held note is an A, possibly played 10th fret, string #2 or 5th fret, string #1.
The note that follows it is a D, either played 7th fret, string #3 or 3rd fret, string #2.
The verse 1 section continues light noises in the background.
Use lots of reverb and delay!

Guitar 1 - chorus #1:

Guitar 2 - chorus #1:
Again, I can't TAB this part!

It Might be BAR harmonics on the 7th fret on the upper 3 strings (#1 , #2 & #3)
The held note is probably string #3, 7th fret.
Use lots of reverb and delay!

Guitar 1 - bridge #1 (out of 1st chorus):
The strumming pattern is more complex than this. Listen to the CD.

Guitar 2 - verse #2:

Guitar 2 - chorus #2:
Again, more interesting noises that I can't write TAB for!

Possibly string #3 at the 11th fret and BAR the 12th fret playing the harmonics.
Also try BARRING the 7th fret for harmonics.

There is a really nice slide right near the end of the song:

Guitar 1 - bridge #2 (out of 2nd chorus):
Repeat pattern 3 times, slowing at the end. Only the first chord of the last bar is played and held.

This BASS GUITAR section was probably played on keyboards. (Yup!) I've TABBED it anyway!

Hold all notes. Play smoothly.

Bass - verses:

Bass - choruses:

Bass - bridge #1:

Bass - bridge #2:
Repeats 3 times. Slows down at the end. Hold the last note.
