Visit me! Say hello while you're there!

I'm not a guitar player, I'm a singer! I'm sorry about any mistakes.

The basics of this song is easy to learn. Listen to the CD for the strumming patterns. There is a lot of repetition, so learning a few parts will allow you play it all.

SONG TEMPLATE:
intro 1 / verse 1 / chorus / bridge / intro 2 / verse 2 / chorus / bridge / chorus / outro

OKAY! READ THIS!!!!!!! So now that you have ALL learned this song the way I TABBED it... you must NOW learn to play it the way it is ACTUALLY played! SORRY!!! Matt Good sent me some "insider tips" ... this whole song is now WRONG WRONG WRONG because "Symbolistic and Indestructible both have capo's on the 3rd fret." Thanks Matt! (I never use capos so that never occured to me.)

I've repaired the TABs! (Bass parts are still questionable...)

TAB Lesson for beginners!

If you want to print this I'd suggest printing it straight off this page! The TABs are in .gif format (because I think the .html kind are ugly) and will not be saved with the copied page unless you specifically do it! Have fun.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
BOTH GUITARS HAVE A CAPO ON THE 3rd FRET!!!

(FRET NUMBERS ARE TRUE!! (Not counted from the capo)

Guitar 1 - intro & choruses & outro:
Listen to the CD for the strumming patterns.
(If you're not sure what comes next, play this!! Unless you're in the bridge, it'll work.)
I'm not entirely sure if these are the forms of the chord patterns being played... it's C & A patterns of SOME SORT!!

Guitar 1 - verses:

Guitar 2 - intros & outro:
This is the first intro.
The second intro is two bars longer and it repeats the 0/4/0 riff two times in bar four, ends the same as intro#1.
The outro is the same as the second intro except it ends with an open high E string.

Guitar 2 - verses:
Played at the beginning of the first verse before the vocals.
Played half way through the second verse.

Guitar 2 - choruses:
Listen to the CD for patterns! More "strumming" than shown...
The lonely 6 shown has more to it... it might be added to the chord already being
played or it might be part of it's own chord... I can't tell!

Guitar 1 - bridge 1:
Make sure you wait for the drum hit before coming in on the triplet at the end! Guitars are "delayed" a beat.
Remember the BAR of REST that follows Bridge 1! (Count in...)

Guitar 2 - bridge1:
Ends the same as Guitar 1.

Guitar 1 - bridge 2:
Goes back to the chorus starting on the 8th BAR!
(Last 2 chords could be power chords...)

Guitar 2 - bridge 2:
Same notes as guitar 1.
The BAR 3 & 4 pattern is most likely NOT right!!! It's just a reasonable facsimile... I can't hear it properly.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!
E string on bass is tuned down to D!

I now have NO IDEA if the bass is tuned down or not!!! What do YOU think, people??? TELL ME!!!
I listened to it a
million times and it STILL sounds tuned down to me! (Yet I don't remember any such thing occuring live... unless Geoff's really fast! (completely possible) or maybe he plays it differently live than the CD version... ???)

Bass - intro & choruses & outro:

Bass - verses:
Listen to the CD for changes to bridges. (They're very basic!)

Bass - bridges:
