10/15/01 Boston Mass Meet and Greet

Or lack there of. We got lost the night before in Wallingford CT and ended up in Holyoke Massachusetts at 3am in the morning.. not cool. Not cool at all. Without fail I always get lost on the way home from the Oakdale. I even told Jill I would. So there you have it..Lost. We went from Connecticut to Massachusetts back to Connecticut through Mansfield through Johnston and eventually got to Rhode Island and Home. So yeah We both needed sleep after that excursion. I slept till 1 and we went up around 3 or 4. Boston M&G's are usually messy anyway, I knew of an evil spirit who would be attending, and after my Wallingford epiphany I again figured I wanted other people to have a good experience with T and I had already had enough. So we go up at 3:30, hit Boston for like 5 and drive right past the exit into this small gorgeous town where I would love to live one day but I never will be able to because I can't remember the name of the town. For the first time mapquest directions failed me. The exit ramp wasn't labeled Chinatown so we missed it. We get back on the highway and head towards C-Town..we find it get off and drive in circles for an hour until I get my bearings and I remember that the Orpheum is right around there, we find the Orpheum, we find the Wang, we park the car we see our friends.. {{{GABE, NIKKI, PETE, MELLIE, ERIN, EMILY}}} And we go to the Show...

10/15/01 Boston Mass Show 9:10-10:55

Dent Reviews Here...(Some of this was stolen from the dent due to my wonderful memory)So Tonight Tori freaked me and Jill out for sure. On the way up we were discussing songs that would be cool if she played, and we wouldn't mind hearing. Well Let's see Marianne, Honey, Pandora, BQ/Horses and Sugar. We called those girls. Crazy ness. We'd both look at each other like "Oh Shit she was in the CAR!!" Tori was wearing black slit-pants tonight, black heels with an ankle strap, and a white blazer-ey thing that went down to her ankles but was split up each side to her thigh. Very sparkly earrings, they kept glinting. She mentioned that the Wang is one of her favorite places to play and she said they were leaving the east coast tonight after coming all the way up from Florida, so "if you get bored, come visit us" Not a good thing to tell me and Jill lol. Someone yelled "Daisy Dead Petals" and Tori said, "Well...", thought for a second, and then played it. How random is that?? When does that ever happen? Before she played "Cool On Your Island" on the Wurlitzer, Tori said, "Marcel, do I vibrate on this?" Of corse this was followed by "I will vibrate on it" and the likes."I want to vibrate you" I promise I yelled nothing of this nature. I swear. Well..um.. yea..I don't swear to shit. There was a Really gorgeous improv intro to 'crucify'... words were something like "...maybe i could go home with every person here...(SCREAMS) if they had a soft blanket... Tash says "but mommy i need them to sleep"...i say i will stand here and watch you sleep, little one, while you still can..." she did a bunch of "these days, it seems we're livin in... chains" . Tori appeared to be relaxed all night. Before "Please Come to Boston" she said "i used to play this song a lot in clubs a long time ago and she wanted to come see you tonight" "Please Come To Boston" was a cover of a Dave Loggins song, which was a big hit in 1974 apparently. ok Song Breakdown...
