ALBUM REVIEWS
It wont be much. |

For now at least... |

SIRENS-- This is their first release, released on par, combat records. The re-release features lost bonus tracks, the Message and Lady in Disguise, both of which are very good. This whole album is a complete metal classic, must have. This version of LID is different very much from the FFTR version. |

GUTTER BALLET-- --This is my personal fav, it saw Savatage progress musically even more, It has the classic tracks Summers Rain and Gutter Ballet, for both I hold deep personal meaning to. This is Savatage at their best, not only does it really ROCK, it contains damn good ballads too. |

DUNGEONS ARE CALLING-- --Definitaly heavier than Sirens, but is an EP. The 94 re-release on this features lost tracks Fighting For Your Love, which is a retake of Crying For Your Love on FFTR, and the other lost track is a live take of Sirens. |

STREETS-- --Perhaps most people' s favorite album. I personally love it about as much as GB, but just don't think it is heavier though, despite songs like Agony and Ecstasy and Strange Reality. It IS A GREAT ALBUM, and features Savatage's best, Believe, If I Go Away, and Somewhere In Time are all here, million stars of a million! |

POWER OF THE NIGHT-- --This album is a super heavy version of Sirens and DAC. This is raw agression, and definate classic metal from the mid-80's. |
EDGE OF THORNS-- --This album is very diverse in many ways. For one lead singer Jon Oliva took a back seat to allow for new singer Zak Stevens, who is a very talented vocalist, but doesn't in my opinion have the "evilness" element in his singing, he has the "poet" element. This album is also special in that it is Criss Oliva's(RIP) final album before he was killed by a drunk driver in 1993. Rest in piece Criss, your music will live on forever! |

FIGHT FOR THE ROCK-- --Despite what everyone says, I personally love this album. Yes, Savatage tried to be more commercial, and yes it is somewhat a disappointment, esp. after PON, but it is still very enjoyable. |

HANDFULL OF RAIN, DEAD WINTER DEAD, AND THE WAKE OF MAGELLEN-- --HOR saw the adding of ex-Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick, DWD, and TWOM saw great musical progression, with an orcestra and a totally revamped lineup to go with it, but now everyone sings, and they are defined as Progressive Metal, although they are unique. |
HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING-- --This is a very creative album, with this album Savatage progressed musically doing their version of the classical song (Grieg?) In the Hall of the Mountain King, named to Prelude to Madness, the intro to the title track. This album got the band really noticed. |
