Steve is one of the founding members of ICE. He has an extensive knowledge of music and is versatile as well. Music training began at 8 on piano and lasted for 4 years. At age 12 Steve decided to take up guitar.

Guitar came natural and he began learning everything he could. His first experience making music with other musicians was while he was in the military. During a tour in the Philipines, he started playing in some of the local bands in clubs down town and spent his spare time getting together with other musicians he was stationed with. From then on he knew that playing was what he wanted to do.

At the same time he also learned that he had a knack for writing lyrics and composing his own songs. This soon became an overwhelming love and has continued through the years. There always seemed to be a melody and lyrics waiting to be written down. By the time he was introduced to Clint Alford he had honed his skills and was writing every chance he got.

He was born in Richmond Virginia on July 26, 1953 and moved to Charlotte NC in 1968. It was at that point that his interest in music began to grow rapidly. The BEATLES were hot and rock music was everywhere. He is presently living in Florida and still tries to write whenever possible.
