She was a close friend of mine and everyone she met. She had no problem hanging out with the guys in the band but demanded respect and equality. After an exceptional job on a song during rehearsal, the excitement would always prompt one of the guys to scream..."We love you Linda...will you go out with me??"..Her answer was always the same,.."Sorry lover, I don't date musicians,..too flakey.."
She was quick with her wit, and quick with a smile. She was also very opinionated and demanded excellence and professionalism from anyone she worked with. I had the honor of receiving her callaboration on one of my own personal songs. I was stuck with an entire song musically but was at a loss for lyrics to fit it. After only 10 minutes of hearing it, she had them written down and it became one of our best songs and was often requested by the crowd. The song was entitled "Don't stop to look back" and to this day it is one of my all time favorties from my own collection.
