In other Pink news, we got our first slam! Yeah!! Alriiiiight!! Corin something-er-other wrote this one for The Noise this month: "The much hyped Fuzzy Pinks were up next. A group of high school girls playing in a rock band is not really my cup of tea. Its a bad sign when a "band" thanks their publicist after the first song. Heres a hint: learn to play your instruments and try to write at least one decent song BEFORE you get a fucking publicist. The inaudible bass, barely competent guitar, and cheerleader vocals were all of secondary importance to their Bud-swilling, soccer-mom fan base. The one saving grace was a pretty decent drummer who kept a solid beat through their set. I certainly encourage kids to play around with music. What I resent is that their first gig ever was the second slot on a Saturday night at a major venue. What a slap in the face of all those hard working bands out there who can play and cant get such a coveted slot. Perhaps The Fuzzy Pinks could pay a due before they skip to the head of the class. Its hard to believe T.T.s fell for such obvious hype. Bullshit, I say. Jailbait ineptitude." If anyone has a clue where we can find the dues meter would you please send all info to TheFuzzyPinks@aol.com? We'll gladly drop a quarter once we find the damn thing,.. and if you'd like to send mail to The Noise, please do so by writing them at: Peetnoise@aol.com, just make sure you mention that it's in response to the article by Corin Ashley! We played a little show tonite in Mason, NH and had the best time!! We played for our friend, Mikah McCade's 13th birthday! Our first all-ages show! (Since that's VERY difficult to do in Boston) We're planning on doing a few all-ages shows really soon, and that's one thing that we're definitely looking forward to... Thanks to Mikah and her family, and everyone that came to hear us play there! It was so much fun! And Happy Birthday, Mikah!!! December 30th we'll be playing the Middle East (18+), New Year's Eve, Eve..that's going to be upstairs and with Deguelo, Random Road Mother, Curbfeeler, and Cops on Crutches, with all sorts of cool things, like door prizes, a buffet from 7-8pm... what more could ya really want? It's going to be a good time! As always, we love hearing from you, so thanks to everyone who e-mails us with support, words of wisdom, marriage proposals, death threats and the like! Keep it coming, we love you! And have yourselves a beautiful holiday, and if this whole Y2K thing doesn't kill this website, expect tons of updates and news right here! XO, The Fuzzy Pinks December 05 1999- Thank you all for your patience while we've been hard at work re-vamping the website. We're still working on it, but at least now you've got something to look at while you wait, right? We've added articles, pictures and a links section and there is so much more to come in the very near future. We will be playing show Monday the 6th at Bill's Bar on Lansdowne St. in Boston, MA. It's the record release party for the compilation CD we did over the summer for Naked Ear Records that includes the first version of our song, "Good As Gone". The show is 18+. Hope to see you all there!! Stay tuned for more updates, we'll be working on this all week!
