History

Here you find some information about DUS DIVA`S musical background (i.e. former bands/projects and releases).

DUS DIVA was involved in the following bands/projects:

Los Caos (1984; vox, git)
...we rehearsed a few times at our strange drummer's place; we even wrote a kinda cheesy song called...err, "The world's ruin"; well, and that was it basically...

The Nameless (1985; vox, git)
...actually a band that never really existed; however, we had already designed a number of record sleeves and front covers; the only "song" we (F., the bass player, and I) actually wrote was "Rainy Days In New York"; however, it never left F.`s messy room...

Suicide At The Seaside(1986-1991; vox, git)
...the teenie-pop-senstation of the Eighties (at least in the Gummersbach area); numerous wannabe-hit-singles and a large following (mainly little girls and their parents, but surprisingly also a number of people who later became METALHEADS); great time - great band...

Pilsator Project (1989; git, prod)
...Noisecore at its best; we tried hard to imitate the "Scum"-Sound of the early-Napalm Death, which turned out to be more complicated than we had thought...

Chaim Bembl (1991-1994; vox, git, keys, prod)
...silly Punkcore with immature lyrics (or KULT!?!); I guess I needed this band after the somehow sterile SATS-era; however, it was quite funny in the early days (I even had a nymphomanic groupie!!!), but after a while I didn´t like it anymore; still we had a number of quite good songs; actually, the split marks a really sad chapter of my life, because we have never really managed to speak to each other in a "normal" way ever since...

Brachialdünst (1994; prod)
...I was honoured to be the producer of their extraordinarily stun0ning Grindcore debut; I still love to bang my head to songs like "Crush The Posers" and "Celebrate This Death"...

Painted Shell (1993; prod)
...really good and groovy Grungerock; they wanted me to become their singer prior to the recordings, but unfortunately I didn`t realise then that I really didn`t want to be in Chaim Bembl anymore; instead I offered them a low cost production which turned out to sound absolutely fantastic; great songs,
"Sympathy (For All Men Wrong)" still is one of my all time faves...

Down (1994; git)
...of course not the Major-All-Star-Project but goatie-styley Hipcore; quite alright actually; I decided to call it a day before I even really started to work seriously with them; the Cyclo Proganigma-offer at the same time was too good to be true...

Cyclo Proganigma (1994-1995; keys, vox, prod)
...the best band I ever played in; some kind of Techno Thrash; really gifted musicians and absolutely fantastic songs; unfortunately we didn`t make it to a professional recording studio in the end; we had to split up because I moved to Wales and the drummer, who happens to be my best mate, moved to Essen; still I am happy that we "saved" a few songs in an acceptable garage sound quality...
