Here is some basic info about the costumes: -Sweaters. FILM 3 sweaters are very dark grey, almost black, v-neck with no house color piping around the collar but, with a deeper shades of the house colors trimming around both the bottom hem as well as the sleeve cuffs. The original grey sweaters with house colors are still available almost everywhere! -Skirt or Pants. For the FILM 3 look I suggest very dark grey docker pants for guys and for girls the same color in a kick pleat skirt. If you go for the grey sweater from the first 2 films I suggest going for grey skirt or slacks to match. Also check out French Toast, they make skirts and pants in grey and black. -Button Down Dress Shirt. A must for the movie look for guys or girls. A nice ivory/ecru is the look for FILM 3. Crips white for films 1 & 2 (buckhead). -Robe. The robes in PoA are black with hoods. They are trimmed on the inside in the dominate house color with the patch appearing in the same place as Film 1 & 2 -House Patch. The Patch Palace, based out of Canad now have all 4 house patches, they are really beautiful! They now have the new styles from PoA. -House Tie. Wizard Ties has them available now and they are beautiful. Alivan's carry the ties from all 3 films. -Hoisery. Girls, if you got the grey knife pleated skirt, get the socks to match(films 1& 2). Try Walmart, Target, K-Mart or Hot Topic for these. Black tights are the new look in FILM 3. Foot Wear. Black dress shoes for boys, black maryjanes for girls. Hot Topic and Torrid almost always carry maryjanes. |
