silverchair and blink 182 will be touring North America during the month of November.
silverchair's Anthem For The Year 2000 won the 1999 MTV Video Music Award for best Australian video.
-the new single for Miss You Love has been released in Australia on August 9, 1999. It should be in stores accross North America in the fall. The single includes two new songs: Wasted and Fix Me, as well as Minor Threat. Plus it has a live video version of Ana's Song.
-silverchair's Neon Ballroom has taken a big leap in the U.S. music charts, jumping up 15 spots. The album has also achieved platinum status in Canada. The members of silverchair were presented with platinum CDs at their recent show in Vancouver. It continues to sell 12,000 to 15,000 copies every week in the U.S. In Australia the album debuted at No. 1, making it the third No. 1 album debut for the band in their home country. Around the world, Neon Ballroom sold more than half a million copies in just seven days.
- Sam Holloway, formerly of the Melbourne-based band Cordrazine, will play keyboards on silverchair's Neon Ballroom tours.

silverchair grew up in New Castle, AU. When they started out they were known as the band Innocent Criminals. They won a demo competition and signed with sony/Murmur Records and became famous all over the world.
