Jazz Jamaica was formed by Gary Crosby and is now a 9-piece-dance band. Rico Rodriguez worked with the group for some years.

In that way they recorded in 1993 Skaravan and some time later Jamaican Beat Vols. 1 and 2.

Afterwards Rico left the group (for an engagement with Jools Holland's orchestra) Jazz Jamaica made in 2002 an impact as Jazz Jamaica All Stars. Rico was (like with Specials/J. Dammers productions in the mid 1980s) again replaced by Annie Whitehead.
