Boogie In My Bones

7": Starlite 011 /UK
Released in 1960

Launched in 1958 the Starlite label was a imprint of Esquire records owned by Carlo Kramer. It was one of the early British labels issuing Jamaican releases, some of which were from Chris Blackwell's (Jamaican) Island label before he started that imprint in the UK, although he carried on putting out releases on Starlite even after he had set up his own Island UK label. The above was the first issue of Jamaican origin on the Starlite label released in the summer of 1960, the last was Starlite 089 in October 1962. Not all the releases on the label were of West Indian origin, and some of those credited as Jamaican were recorded in Britain by expatriates.
