"Guinea's Sekouba "Bambino" Diabate
sounds at times like Salif Keita's younger brother, his voice lighter but
full of grace and intelligence, imbued with the griot's declamatory force
and an unquenchable energy. Bambino works a dream with Latin rhythm, as
he demonstrates here, pulling long phrases out of the air, spinning griot
magic around the ever-dancing piano rhythms of "Son Fo"." (Mark Hudson)
