music translate effortlessly into an entrancing Latin groove, by chiming
guitars of the original replaced by blasting pachanga trumpets and Kante
Manfila's famous guitar solo rendered audaciouly on vibes. "Kano nana!
Love is here!" Salif sings, holding those long sinuous phrases, articulating
the rounded vowels of the Mandinka language with magisterial ease, as though
