ORDAINED was formed in Virginia in 1996 (by way of Sin City Las Vegas) in direct opposition to the alternative music scene that was flooding the market. From the beginning, ORDAINED was 100% dedicated to making Heavy Metal. While other bands were distancing themselves from this musical label, the members of ORDAINED proudly held the banner high. Against the advice of so-called managers, booking agents and sceptics, ORDAINED used the term "Heavy Metal" in all press releases, on flyers, in song lyrics and in SINterviews for magazines. There was/is no doubt as to exactly what ORDAINED represents.

Their debut release "Let Us Prey", a 6 song MCD, sold briskly and word of their theatrical live performances spread quickly. Stage props such as candles, skulls, canes, a custom built coffin, curtains/backdrops, mannequin torsos, dolls, pyrotechnics and fire breathing, smoke machines, costumes and masks and the resulting chaos caused ORDAINED to be virtually BANNED from playing anywhere in Virginia in 1997.

Soon enough, ORDAINED was playing shows up and down the East Coast, opening for national acts as well as headlining clubs and festivals.

Their follow up "ORDAINED - The Second Coming" was released to world wide acclaim from fans, underground magazines and radio stations, being voted #7 Underground Heavy Metal Album Of The Year in Russia. More headlining performances followed, as well as opening for national acts and in a few cases, performing with national acts opening for them.

After their next release "The Resurrection Of Mortimus Grimley" limited edition MCD, ORDAINED SINtroduced a new guitarist and went straight SINto the studio to record "Altar Ego". Broadcast live on the air from KSEXradio.com in Hollywood, CA "Altar Ego" made its debut to an estimated audience of over 1 million listeners.

At the beginning of 2004, ORDAINED SINtroduced a new bassist and began work on new material. Usually, a new member can mean downtime for a band. Not so for ORDAINED. During the first half of the year, ORDAINED was voted by the fans as #4 Best Metal Band in Virginia, was featured on the home page of the legendary Las Vegas Hard Rock radio station KOMP 92.3 fm, and was the major subject in a SINdependent feature film. Utilizing the time gained from their absence of live performances, the band released "Altar Vidego" - a 54 minute DVD which featured XXX award winning porn star Lovette, 3 music videos, backstage footage, and never before seen photos. To promote the DVD release, ORDAINED did on air SINterviews for major market and college radio stations. Continuing to write new material, ORDAINED SINtered the studio and recorded a track to be SINcluded on the Scatboy Records Motorhead tribute album "Remember Me Now, I'm Motorhead". While in the studio, ORDAINED also recorded what would become their next release, the "50 Ways To Kill Your Lover" EP. Their decision to record and release an EP was a smart move, as it allowed the fans to have new ORDAINED material with their new bassist before the end of the year.

At the beginning of 2005, ORDAINED was voted by the fans as Best Metal Band in Virginia, through Ninevolt Magazine. ORDAINED continues to expand their fan base by scheduling performances up and down the East Coast, SINcluding showcases in Philadelphia for European promoters. XXX porn stars Lovette as well as Brittany Andrews have contracted with ORDAINED for the band to furnish both ladies with music for upcoming DVD releases. April 2005 saw the release of "SINspirational MuSICK - Greatest Cuts", a 13 track compilation showcasing over 9 years of Heavy Metal from ORDAINED. When you factor in all these things, there is no doubt that ORDAINED lives up to their title of Undisputed Champion Of Heavy Metal.
