You Never Know

Part Two

Once home the girls were on the phone inviting friends and family to a trail ride and cookout. "Well that's enough people, how about food?" Jessy asked. "Well, that Tom turkey pecked me the other day. I was bent over in the garden and that sucker snuck up on me, I say let's cook him." Barbara answered. "Let's catch him then." Jessy said and the kids headed out to track him down. Soon he had been cornered and caugt and Josh did the honors, while the girls started a pot of water going so they could pluck him. "Girls, Tom called. I'd forgotten he'd just had two pigs picked up. He offered one of them for a pig roast, he's heading out to pick it up and bring it over so we can get it started." Barbara shared. "Great. This is really going to be fun." Jessy explained. The kitchen was bustling, pots on every burner, the girls chopping and cutting, and Barbara baking. The boys were outside starting the charcoal in the cooker when Tom delivered the pig and they put it on the spit and started it cooking. "I'm headed to bed so I ought to be up around 1 or 2 and then I'll relieve you." Barbara said heading upstairs.   After cleaning up the kitchen and doing a quick once over on the house, they headed out to groom horses and clean tack. Around midnight they sent the boys to bed, and tended to the cooker. Around 2 Barbara woke and sent the girls into bed, only to rise about four hours later. "Man were you busy, the fridge is loaded." Chele said trying to reach the orange juice. "Arrgh. Why are we up early." Jessy grumbled. "Oh stop complaining. You know we have lots to do yet before people start showing up." Chele reminded and they got busy cleaning the bunk houses, setting up the tables and chairs, stacking firewood, and setting up garbage cans. It was almost 9 before they finished and headed in to get cleaned up. "Smells good in here." Chele said at the back door. "Mmm you baking biscuits?" Jessy asked and they sat to biscuits and honey before heading upstairs to clean up. People started showing up around 10, "Oh my God, I didn't invite them." Jessy whispered. "Who is it?" Chele asked. "Eric Beam and he brought Steve Blum. I don't believe this." Jessy answered. "Oh hi Eric. Glad you could make it." Barbara said heading to the tables with her arms loaded. "Let me get that. Thanks for the invite. Hope it's okay I brought someone. He came in right after you left and didn't have anything to do either. Man I've heard about your parties but never have been invited." Eric explained staring at Jessy. "Don't look at me, you're the one who always mentions being a senior and I'm a lowly eighth grader." Jessy replied glaring back at him and they both started laughing. "Honest Eric I guess I never thought you'd enjoy it. We usually ride horses, play volleball and hang out at the camp fire at night." Jessy explained. "It sounds great Jessy. Man I haven't ridden a horse in years." he confessed. "At least you've ridden before." Steve shared. "Hey she taught me, she can teach you. Hi I'm.." Chele tried to say but was interrupted. "Hi Chele. Umm Jessy talks about you all the time. She didn't do you justice though, pretty don't get it, you're hot." Steve shared. "Thanks." Chele answered as Jessy got her attention and nodded behind her. "Trev hey you came." Chele said heading his way. "Hey gorgeous. Anything need doing?" Trevor offered. "I was just headed to check the cooker. Give me a hand?" Chele asked. "You know I'd do anything for you." Trevor teased wrapping an arm around her waist and they headed towards the cooker. "So you want to learn to ride Steve or was that to impress Sis?" Jessy asked as he glared watching Trevor put the moves on Chele. "What?" Steve asked finally realizing Jessy was talking to him, adding, "Sorry I wasn't paying attention." "That's okay. I understand. I've got to saddle horses yet so I better get. Most of them are out by the bunk houses or there is a volleyball game about to start." Jessy explained. Once the horses were saddled she headed out with a group of riders, leading them around the outside of the property leading them along the highway. As she cleared the trees and headed to the clearing she noticed the white van. "Probably Hanson." she yelled to her Sis and they started laughing. "Hey Hanson." Chele screamed waving as the van started to slow. "Oh My God they're slowing down." Chele squealed. "Yeah like it's Hanson." Jessy said racing ahead waving at the van which pulled to the shoulder and turned on its flashers. "Now what have you done?" Chele gasped, watching as the van pulled of the highway stopping. "Jessy what are you doing?" Chele screamed as Jessy rode past her making her way to the van, adding, "They might be phsychos." "Hey." Jessy called out, waving again as the passenger window started going down. "Oh my God it is you. I was just kidding around but it's you. I don't believe it. What are you doing in Michigan?" Jessy asked Diana Hanson. "The boys are doing promotional interviews. You must be a fan?" Diana answered. "Yeah, like forever. Umm I can't believe you stopped." Jessy barely got out. "Dear you're on a horse and the kids were all screaming for a mile back when they noticed you and when you waved at them." Diana explained. "Yeah it happens a lot. Um Mr and Mrs Hanson if you have time, we're sort of having a cookout today, just friends and family and Sis and I are the only obsessed fans and I promise we'll behave, umm you guys are more than welcome to come. I mean the kids can ride horses we've got plenty, and those that don't ride are either on the four wheelers, playing horseshoes or volleyball. Except for the professional eaters, Momma's a real good cook and there's always plenty. We got a whole pig on the cooker so I know there's plenty of food." Jessy offered. "Oh we couldn't impose like that dear but thanks for asking." Diana said. "I'm serious. Momma would ground me like forever if I didn't ask. Please say yes?" Jessy pleaded and smiled hearing the younger ones begging to go. "Mom, Dad we really have time, the interview isn't until tomorrow." Isaac explained. "We came early to find something fun to do and this really sounds like fun." Taylor added watching Chele riding up. "Jessy it's them." she whispered. "Yeah it is and I invitied them over but they haven't decided yet." Jessy replied, introducing her to them. "Sis is right, there's plenty of food and it's mostly family." Chele insisted. "Let's meet your Mother first and ask her." Walker answered. "Great. Anyone care to ride Beauty here and I'll ride with you guys." Jessy suggested. "Mommy can I, please?" Jessie asked and she made her way to the fence. Jessy took her jean jacket off and placed it over the barbed wired and helped Jessie get over, introducing her to her sister and the other riders and then to Beauty. "She's a good horse, you shouldn't have any problems." Jessy said helping her up before she made her way over the fence and into the van, sitting between Zoe and Avie, leaning forward and explaining how to get to her house. "You can turn right on red and then take that right." Jessy instructed and soon they were pulling in the driveway. "Pull in behind the house and we'll find Momma. Potty breaks, follow me." Jessy said leading them into the house, directing them to the bathrooms before finding her mother. "Horsey, horsey." Zoe squealed. "Where you headed Miss Zoe?" Jessy asked. "Doggy, doggy." she squealed turning her attention to the dog, as the cat scooted from the room. "Kitty, kitty." Zoe squealed. "Come on girl, you ain't seen nothing yet. Mackie, Avie want a tour of the barn? We've got pigs, ducks, turkies, chickens, goats, sheep, bunnies, horses and lots of cows." Jessy asked. "Mommy can we?" Avie and Mackie asked. "Man sounds like you got everything." Zac shared. "Nope, no snakes. I hate snakes." Jessy said making a face as she guided them out through the barn, finding her mother. "I don't believe it. Welcome Hansons." Barbara gasped making her way to them and soon she and Diana had hit it off and were having a wonderful talk, "Walker please we have to stay. I'm enjoying myself so much. I just love her sense of humor." Diana pleaded and it was decided they'd stay. When Chele returned with the riders, she helped getting horses for all the Hansons and they headed out for an hour ride around the property. When they returned, they found out that the Hanson were going to spend the night in the bunk houses. "Wow it's a good thing we cleaned them this morning." Chele shared. "Yep, even put on clean sheets even though no one had slept in the beds since the last time we changed them." Jessy added as they headed to clean up for lunch. "Jessy, Chele over here. We saved you a seat." Eric called out. "Chele. Over here babe." Trevor called out. "Umm that's okay, I thought I'd eat in the barn and keep and eye on Momma Goat, I think she's about ready to kid." Jessy explained turning and heading to the barn. "Wait Sis I want to see." Chele said heading after her, followed by he Hansons. "Wow a full house. It's okay but we have to be quiet. Guys bring more straw bales for seats. Can you see Miss Zoe? Her sit with me. Mackie can you see, come sit on Sis's lap." Jessy said patting Chele's lap. "i can't see." Taylor pouted standing in front of Chele, then sitting in her lap. "Urrrgh. My what a big boy are we." Chele groaned as everyone chuckled. "I can't see." Zac pouted standing in front of Jessy. "Sorry my lap's full. Here." Jessy said scooting over and offering half of her bale and Zac slipped in next to her. "Zac hold Mackie please." Jessy asked, gazing at him and how good he was with Mackie. "What?" Zac asked noticing her staring and staring back. "It's just, wow I can't remember any guy I know that has ever showed me the sensitive side of himself. Zac you're as excited sharing this with Mackie as you are at watching." Jessy said smiling and lost in his warm brown eyes. "Well I feel sorry for them, cause Mackie is so cool of course I enjoy him. That sounds stupid now that I said it." Zac shared turning away from her quickly. "No it doesn't Zac." Jessy whispered, adding, "Zac I think it so cool you love your family. God that's what it's all about, that's how we learn all the important things. I envy you and the relationship you. Tay and Ike have. And you guys' relationship with your folks and the whole family. I think that's part of what makes Hanson so Hot. Your love of God and family and you're not afraid to show it. I mean all the other bands out there, you don't know anything about them, except age, birthday, girlfriends. But you guys, I mean you're just like part of the family and we get your family to boot and they are so cool." Jessy said tears forming in her eyes. "Jessy that's so sweet. Don't cry please." Zac said kissing her forehead lightly as Jessy sighed. "Ewww. What's that?" Jessie asked. "What?" Jessy asked leaning towards her. "That thing out her butt?" Jessie asked. "Sweetie haven't you ever watched the birth of anything?" Jessy asked. "No." Jessie asked. "Whoa. Well let's back it up a little then. Their reproductive system is just like ours but they've chosen to remain on all fours so you think that's coming out her butt, but it's not." Jessy tried to explain causing herself to giggle, quickly adding, "Sorry two buts alway makes me giggle. Anyway Momma Nanny went messing around with old Billy over there and had unprotected sex and wound up pregnant and alone. Billy has moved on to a younger woman. So here she is alone, giving birth to his child while he party downs in another crib, with some young thing. Time has come, contractions have started, you do know what a contraction is right?" Jessy asked. "Yeah Mommy moaned and groaned so when her belly got all hard." Jessie answered. "Right, the muscles of the uterus, where the baby has been hanging out, contract, trying to push the baby out because Momma Nanny is tired of the kidd not paying any rent, so she's evicting the kidd." Jessy continued as everyone drew near listening to her tale. "Well now to the answer to what's that, Jessie, that is the hopefully fron hoof of Momma Nanny's little kidd, finding it's way out into the world. We should know in a few more contractions if it's a front or back hoof. If it's a normal birth, the nose should appear soon and if not, I'll just have to help her a little to make sure she can push it out backwards. Sometimes they have trouble pushing it out backwards, that's why I sit and watch, to make sure I'm not needed. See there it is, the nose, everything so go just fine." Jessy explained and soon both feet and the head was out and everyone was awed by the miracle of birth. "So now because old Billy left her high and dry, she can't afford a hospital with attendants to clean the baby, she has to do it herself. I know it seems gross, but by cleaning the baby this way, Momma Nanny is getting important minerals back into her system. That's amniotic fluid on little kidd there is what Momma Nanny produced to help the baby grow big and strong, so it helps her replenish her body. Look kidd is trying to stand up, isn't it silly. Well, you sit quietly, there's a few things I have to do to make sure kidd stays healthy." Jessy explained handing Zoe to the other Jessie and making her way behind the crowd. "I loved your version of the birthing process. You are a delight." Diana whispered. "Well thanks." Jessy giggled making her way out entering the barn nearer the goat pen. "Well Ms Nanny look what you've down girl. Way to go." Jessy said approaching the pen with a dipper filled with iodine in her hand. "May I come in?" she asked watching the goats reaction. As the goat charged her, "Now Nanny you know me, I wouldn't hurt your little kidd." Jessy said reaching and petting the goat until she decided it would be okay and she called to the baby. "Look it walks already. Man Zoe took forever to walk." Jessie shared. "That's becuase you were all willing to carry her everwhere she need to go but not kidd there," Jessy said watching the goats reaction to touching her kidd. "I petted Momma first so I have her scent on my hands so the baby doesn't get scared, I smell of it's Momma." Jessy explained lifting the tail, "It's a little girl." she shared then dipped the umbilical cord. "Way to go Nanny." Jessy said guiding the kidd to her teats, then stripping and helping the baby nurse. Jessy quickly made her way back. "Hey Mom H can you grab me one of those wet ones from the shelf here?" Jessy asked stopping a few feet away. "Thanks." she said when Diana handed her a towelette. After cleaning her hands, Jessy returned to her place beside Zac, taking Zoe back, "She's eating good, everything will be okay. She needs a name, anyone got one?" Jessy asked and everyone suggested until Jessie finally suggested, "She's just precious. We should call her Precious." "Oh, I like." Jessy said. "Me too, it suits her." Diana added. "Way to go Sis, that's just the perfect name." Zac said reaching around Jessy to pat his sister's back. Suddenly Jessy smiled as she felt Zac drape his arm around her, resting his right hand on her hip. Jessy turned to look at him, smiling at him then looking away, quickly drawn back to his eyes as Zac smiled back at her with the warmest smile she'd ever seen. Her stomach filled with butterflies as her heart raced and she sighed. "I agree." Zac said as he sighed. "Way to go Zac. Man what moves, maybe I ought to try." Taylor whispered turning to Chele. "Oh don't bother, I numb from the waist down and it's working it's way up." Chele moaned. "Oh baby why didn't you say something sooner." Taylor said quickly rising, picking her up and then sitting back down on the bale, placing her in his lap. "Better?" he asked rubbing her legs, adding, "If t isn't doing anything for you, let me tell you it's doing lots for me." "My legs are all tingley. I don't know if it's your touch or that fact that my circulation is returning." Chele answered. "It's my touch. You want me." Taylor whispered. "What a.... Man Taylor do you hear yourself?" Chele giggled. "What? I'm serious, you want me bad babe." Taylor replied as Chele started laughing uncontrollably, drawing everyone's attention. "So? Care to share with the rest of us?" Jessy asked. "Nope. Maybe Taylor would care to share." Chele answered staring at Taylor, soon lost in his bright blue eyes. "She just farted and amused herself." Taylor shared. "Taylor Hanson I did not. I wouldn't fart on you yet, I barely know you." Chele insisted smacking his arm. "Yeah when she finally stinks you out, you'll know she loves you. Well Nanny has Precious all cleaned up, why don't we feed her and see if she'll let us play with Precious." Jessy said and they all moved to the pen except Chele and Taylor. "I sure hope you fart on me soon." Taylor said holding her tight when she tried to get up, addng, "Cuz I sure like you." as he farted. "Oh God Taylor. Why'd you have to like me so much." Chele gasped before giggling and collapsing in his arms. "Taylor you stink." she whispered. "Well I really like you." he replied laughing with her as their eyes met and something magical happened as they smiled at each other. "So how long you been holding that or can you just fart on command?" Chele asked. "I can always find one somewhere." Taylor replied, adding, "Chele tomorrow we're going to an interview in Detroit, would you like to come wit me?" "I don't know. I guess I would. God Tay, what if I act all crazy like the fan I am, you know jumping up and down, screaming. If I do that, you might never fart on me again." Chele answered. "I told you I really like you. I promise babe, I'll still fart for you even if you act like an obsessed fan." Taylor replied placing his forehead against hers, staring deep into her eyes and they connected on a deeper level. "Yeah Tay, I'd love the chance to spend more time with you, getting to know the real you." Chele answered to his delight. "Cool." he answered. "Way Cool." Chele shared as they joined the others playing with Precious. "There's th dinner bell, come on everyone, let's get cleaned up and eat. "Momma it's a girl and Jessie here came up with the name Precious. She's just that, precious." Jessy shared as they lined up at the hand pump and washed their hands. "Man, haven't seen one of these in ages." Walker shared as he pumped while everyone cleaned up. "Doesn't take much to amuse him." Diana shared. "Great meal Barbara, my complimets." Walker declared leaning back and rubbing his belly. "It's good to be appreciated." Barbara replied. "Oh Walker appreciates a good meal. See." Diana said patting his belly. "Sure hope you have room for dessert." Barbara asked. "Bring it on woman" Walker declared patting his belly. Jessy and Zac made their way around the tables cleaning up as Chele and Taylor raced to the house to bring out the desserts. "That's the last of them, come and get it." Chele declared as Jessy headed way to help serve. "Momma loves to bake. How about a sliver of all of them and then you can have seconds of what you like." Jessy suggested as Walker made it to first in line. "Here Mr H, this is Zoe's, and Mackie's." Chele said. "This is your wife's and one for Momma." Jessy added producing a tray for him to put them all on. "And this is yours." Chele finished and his eyes grew large and he smiled making his way back to his table, passing out everyone's plate. "Psst the guys are at the end of the line and keep letting everyone ahead of them. Go figure." Chele whispered. "Well we know Zac loves dessert, something must be up." Jessy replied. "You think they want to be last so we serve them last and we can all sit down together?" Chele asked. "Cool." Jessy gasped as she looked towards Zac. When their eyes met and after they'd smiled at each other, Jessy motioned him over. "Zac why are you letting everyone in front of you? Jessy asked. "Umm thought it would be nice if we all sat down at te same time." he replied. "But Zac what if your favorite is gone by then? Hun is there something you want, I can save you some." Jessy asked. "You." Zac replied. "Oh Zac." Jessy sighed, adding, "That's sweet but I'm not on the menu." Jessy replied. "Oh rats. I guess I'd like some of that and that. That looks good too." Zac answered. "How about your brother?" Chele asked. "You and that and he'll be in heaven." Zac said making his way back to the end of the line. The line finally ended and the four headed to sit down. After lunch they headed out on horseback, then played volleyball before pitching horseshoes. "Ringer again. Dang you're good woman." Zac exclaimed. "Zac I've been pitching for years. You guys should be able to, I saw those biceps. You just have to remember how hard you toss it and then adjust it depending on where it landed. I've been pitching so long now I know how much I have to put in it." Jessy explained and she handed over all the shoes, letting the guys toss until the got the hang of it. "You tired Zoe?" Jessy asked as she made her way to her and Mackie playing with the dog. "How about a nap? You can lay down in my room if you want." Jessy asked. "Mrs H. Is it okay if Zoe lays down in my room, she's tired." she asked and made her way to the house. "Zac could you come here a minute?" Jessy asked almost to the house. "Sure Jessy. What you need?" Zac asked. "Oh I just thought maybe a familiar face might help her relax so she can sleep is all." Jessy shared and the three made it upstairs to Jessy's room where she cleaned up Zoe before putting her down. "Cool room Jessy. Wish my folks would let me have a black room." Zac said as Jessy returned from the bathroom with a clean Zoe, "Pull down the shaes and close the drapes and door. "This is great." Zac shared. "Oohhh pretty." Zoe said looking at the stars shining on the ceiling as Jessy laid her down. "Zac why don't you take off your shoes and lay down with us untl she falls asleep." Jessy asked and the three laid down until Zoe fell asleep. "Zac we can go now, she's asleep." Jessy whispered making her way around the bed, finding that he'd fallen asleep also. "Sleep tight." Jessy whispered kissing him lightly. "Only if you stay with me." Zac replied pulling her to him and kissing her. "Zac stop." Jessy said quickly pushing away, making her way out of the room grumbling. "Jessy wait. Please Jessy. I'm sorry please stop." Zac called after her following her back outside as everyone staring. "Ouch. Jessy please." Zac called again hopping on one foot finally stopping to see what he'd done. "Oh Zac you're bleeding what happened? Where are your shoes? Zac." Jessy sighed shaking her head, making her way back to him. "Looks like a sliver of glass. Hold still." Jessy said pulling. "Ouch." he said. "Did I get it all?" she asked pulling off his sock and looking closer. She helped him back to the house and cleaned it, bandaged it and got him his shoes and a pair of her brothers socks. "Jessy I'm sorry. I mean I meant it and liked kissing you, but I should have waited. It's just I really like you and I thought you liked me is all." Zac apologized. "I thought I did but I'm not so sure now." Jessy whispered avoiding eye contact. "What? Jessy I'm sorry don't let this ruin things, please. I'm really sorry." Zac apologized again. "Well you should be? Oh it's my fault, why'd I go a think you were different from all the other jerks anyway. Shit you've probably had lots of experience anyway with all the fans throwing themselves at you. It was stupid of me to put myself in that situation. I guessI never thought about it Zac, me inviting you to my room. You probably thought that's what I wanted. It's not, I really just didn't want Zoe to be afraid, stupid me." Jessy said fighting the tears. "No Jessy it's not your fault and you aren't stupid. You told me it was so Zoe didn't get scared, I had no right to read more into it. You probably hate me." Zac shared sounding so sorry, adding, "I don't know what you think about me but from what you said, you're wrong Jessy. It's not like that honest. My folks are always there and we're not alone with girls like that." Zac explained. "Oh really Zac. Then what about "Zac In The Pool?" Have you every seen your solo video? Here let me play it for you." Jessy said racing upstairs and returning with a video and putting it in the machine. "Never alone huh?" Jessy asked, adding, "I guess I add liar to my impression of you too." Jessy glared at him as he watched the video. "What the hell? Where'd you get this? I don't believe this. Taylor Hanson I'm going to kill you." Zac screamed hobbling out of the room, then the house and across the yard. "Taylor." he screamed again. "Zac what's wrong?" Taylor asked making his way to him. "You and that pshyco fan. How could you? She hates me and it's all your fault." Zac screamed at him. "Zac Hanson you hit him and I'll never speak to you again." Jessy screamed as he raised his fist. "What on earth?" Walker asked coming between the boys. "Well someone start talking. Zachary?" he asked as Zac just glared at his brother. "Zac please I'm sorry. I take you didn't know. Please Zac I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to cause trouble honest." Jessy admitted and turned and ran back to the house. "You two in the house now. Chele dear could you go ask your Momma to join us?" Walker asked. "Sure Mr Hanson." Chele answered and raced off to get Barbara.
