Part Eight

Before school was out, the next day, Jessy's picture was plastered in the Entertainment Section of most newspapers and later that night she was mentioned by David Letterman and Jay Leno. The next afternoon during the monologue, Rosie mentioned Zac having a girlfriend and invitied her to call in. "I'm told we have her on the line. Hello?" Rosie asked. "Hello Rosie, it's me Jessy." she replied. "Hey Jessy, so you've catptured his heart huh?" Rosie asked. "That's what Zac said." Jessy answered. "I can't believe this. This is wonderful. How did you meet?" Rosie asked. "Well first I was a fan, a fan who wrote a fan letter. Zac replied to my letter and we became pen pals, then friends, then boyfriend and girlfriend, and now we are madly in love." Jessy answered with a big sigh. "Oh the sigh of love. How nice." Rosie said, quickly adding, "Hold on everyone. I still don't believe I asked Zac Hanson's girlfriend Jessy to call in and she did but now I am told that Zac Hanson is on the other line. It will be a minute, as you can see." Rosie explained as another phone was strung to the desk. "Okay Jessy you there still?" Rosie asked. "Yes Rosie. So does my boyfriend call you often?" Jessy teased. "Oh you're so funny. I'd say your boyfriend calls every time you're on my show." Rosie chuckled, adding, "Zac are you there?" "Yeah Rosie. I just called to tell you that the Jessy calling you is the right Jessy. You know the Jessy I love more than anything and everything. Hey babe." Zac answered. "Hi hun. How's the family?" Jessy asked. "They miss you, just like I do." Zac answered. "I miss you too. Only fifteen more days." Jessy replied. "Actually it's fourteen and a half." Zac corrected. "So I take it you'll be together in fourteen and a half days?" Rosie suggested. "That's right Rosie the Hansons are coming for a visit." Jessy answered. "I can't wait until you're back in my arms again babe." Zac shared. "Me too Zac. It's where I belong with you." Jessy sighed. "Hey babe. I wrote you a song. Man I can't believe how fast it came together. I wrote it right before I found you last time you were here. I was in the treehouse dreaming about you and it came to me." Zac shared. "Wow you wrote a song for me." Jessy squealed. "What's it called Zac?" Rosie asked. "Wish That I Was There. It's how I feel about Jessy you know, when she's not here I wish that I was there so we can be together. I'm better when we're together." Zac answered. "That's so sweet." Rosie sighed. "You think it's sweet." Jessy sighed bigger. "It's good. The guys liked it right off and so did Dad and Mom. Mom even called Chris and got him out here to hear it so now it's going on the new album but we have to decide what to cut." Zac explained. "Oh my God you're going to sing on the new album? Oh Zac I've wanted that for so long. I miss you singing lead." Jessy shared. "Well Taylor said he wouldn't sing it because your sister would never kiss him again if he did and Isaac's afraid you'd hate him if he sang it. I take it he was right judging from your reaction." Zac suggested. "Hate is a harsh word but I definitely would let him know I wasn't happy about it and Tay is right about Sis. I can hear her know, Jordan Taylor Hanson that song is about my Lil Sis and you're singing it why?" Jessy said impersonating her sister. "Whoa. You really put the fear of God in Taylor. He says you sound just like Sis and he's calling her to apologize just to be safe." Zac explained. "Time out. Jordan Taylor Hanson how could you keep this from me? I can't believe you are seeing Jessy's sister and didn't say word one to me. I thought we were friends?" Rosie asked. "Here bro. You are in the dog house." Zac said putting it on the speaker phone. "Rosie I put you on the speaker phone so chew away, Taylor can hear you and try to explain." Zac informed. "Snitch you didn't have to tell her that you know I promised not to say anything and I'm not breaking my promise to her, I love her." Taylor answered. "Oh my he loves her. Did you all hear he won't tell us who but he definitely loves you. If it's you why don't you call me. Let's talk." Rosie suggested as she winked to the camera. "Now you gone and done it. Baby I'm sorry. I love you ." Taylor pleaded. "Oh my we have her on line they say." Rosie shared as one more phone was stretched to her desk. "Hello this is Rosie is the Taylor Hanson's girlfriend?" Rosie asked. "That would be me or Jordan Taylor Hanson is in deep trouble." Chele answered. "Taylor Hanson are you in trouble or is this your girlfriend?" Rosie ask. "Hey baby. I miss you." Taylor answered. "Oh my the plot does thicken. Now Taylor's girlfriend, you are Jessy's sister?" Rosie asked. "She sure is my only Sis well except now I have Zac's three sisters. Hmmm she is my only Big Sister well that's not true either now that Isaac is going with Becky. Hmmm I know she was my first sister. Hey Sis." Jessy shared. "Hey Lil Sis. Tell Momma thanks. I can't believe she did this. It is totally awesome. My Dad's not too thrilled but I don't care I'm doing this for me." Chele replied. "I'm so glad. I was going to come down and drag you up here if I had to. I can't wait until you're here." Jessy shared. "You're what? Really baby. I'm so proud of you. Jessy tell Momma I love her for this. I knew somehow we'd find an answer." Taylor interrupted. "Now I'm lost. I take it Sisters not living together but will be soon?" Rosie asked. "Real soon. I'm leaving in three hours." Chele answered. "You go gurl. I'm so proud of you baby. That's a big step you're taking." Taylor shared. "Aaaaahhh You'll be home tonight. I don't believe this. Oh Rosie you're wonderful to put us all together like this. I love you for doing this." Jessy exclaimed soon joined by the others in thanking her. "I don't believe this, one more phone added to the plot and on here we have Chris Sabec right?" Rosie shared connecting Chris to the conversation. "That's right Rosie. First I want to tell you thank you for bringing the four together and helping them share their joy. I've met both of the young ladies and they are absolutely beautiful inside and out. Walker and Diana asked me to tell you that they love both girls as if they were their own already." Chris shared. "It's been my pleasure as always. I'd love to have them on the show if you can help make that happen." Rosie responded. "Hun I want our first appearance together to be on Rosie's show okay?" Jessy asked "You heard her Chris. You better talk to Momma and find out when we can go public and we'll do it on Rosie." Zac answered. "Tay please. I want that fr us too. Rosie has done so much for us, it's the least we can do?" Chele asked. "Whatever you want baby. Chris you heard her, talk to Momma about her too and book us on Rosie." Talor asked. "You sure must be something special Rosie both couples want to be introduced on your show." Chris shared. Approximately two weeks later when the Hansons were supposed to visit Jessy's, "Special guests today. Things have really changed since last we talked to them. Here today for the first time Taylor and Zac Hanson will introduce their girlfriends to us and the world. That's right here on my show only can you meet the love of their lives. So whatever you do, stay tuned." Rosie announced as they went to first break. "We're back and as I promised, two thirds of Hanson, Taylor and Zac." Rosie introduced and the guys headed on stage. "Oh Sis I'm so nervous. I hope I'm not sweating." Jessy said lifting her arms. "Nope High and Dri. It works I say." Chele teased. "You butt." Jessy said laughing and the two were cutting up and totally forgot what they were doing. "Jessy. Sis Tay's been caling you, like three times. He's starting to think you changed your mind. Get out there before he strokes out." Zac said as he reached for Jessy and pulled her into his arms. "Go on Big Sis. Go meet his world." Jessy suggeted and Chele stepped from the hallway and the audience went crazy when the caught sight of her before Taylor. "Baby I'm sorry. Sis and I were, oh never mind... I'm just so sorry. Sorry Rosie I'm not normally that rude to keep you waiting like this." Chele said finally making her way to him and reaching for Rosie's hand. "Man I started to panic when you didn't come out." Taylor whispered. Chele gazed into his bright blue eyes, placing a hand on his cheek. They gazed at each other for quite awhile before Chele began caressing his face, finally leaning into him, "I love you so much and I've missed you." she said before their lips connected. "I've missed you in my arms babe." Taylor confessed holding her tightly to his body. "Yoo hoo remember us." Rosie teased "Sorry Rosie, it's been awhile and she feels so good back in my arms. Here babe, sit here closest to Rosie." Taylor suggested helping her to the chair, kissing the top of her head. "Man I was going to do this later when we were alone." Taylor blurted out and Chele's eyes grew larger and larger as she thought what she wanted to do right now if half of America wasn't watching. "Taylor remember this is daytime television and we do have younger ones watching." Rosie teased and everyone laughed. Taylor turned red then knelt in front of her, "Babe tell me you'll be mine forever?" Taylor asked pulling a ring box from his pocket and opening it. "Oh Taylor it's beautiful. Yes. I'll be yours forever and a day. It's all I dream about." Chele answered as Taylor lifted the ring from the box. "This is my promise to you, we are so meant to be babe." he finally choked out as he slid the ring onto her finger. "I do love you Tay."Chele admitted as a tear trickled down her cheek matching the tear making its way down Taylor's cheek. "Almost as much as I love you." Taylor declared, kissing her tenderly as the audience ooh'd and aah'd. "Well there you have it, here on my show we have met the love of Taylor's life, how about Zac. Zac? Are you there Zac and Jessy?" Rosie asked and asked again, finally rising and making her way towards the hallway. "Oh my. Come look." Rosie whispered to the camera and the camera man made his way, catching Zac kissing Jessy who was pinned against the wall. He also caught Jessy pushing Zac away then pinning him to the wall and kissing him deeply as her hands appreciated his body. It was Chele's "Way to go Sis." that got Zac's attention first as his eyes opened and he looked for Chele but found the camera pointed at them. He waved then tapped Jessy on the shoulder and her eyes opened, looking up at him to see what was up. "Hey I was kissing you. What do you want?" Jessy pouted. "And very nicely but I thought you should know about that." Zac shared pointing towards the camera. "Aaack. Nooooo." Jessy moaned covering her face as it reddened. "So Zac would you like to introduce your red faced girlfriend?" Rosie asked. "You brought your girlfriend? Why didn't you tell me." Jessy squealed teasing him. "You didn't give me a chance to say anything, you were all over me, kissing me." Zac teased back. "Oooh you are getting good at this." Jessy conceded bowing slightly. "Way to go Zac." the audience cheered. "See Rosie. That's what I was trying to tell you." Jessy pouted heading to Rosie. "I see. I hear. I can't believe it. So this is what life has been like since you called me that day?" Rosie asked. "Not immediatel but like 24 to 48 hours after that show it has been." Jessy answered as Rosie wrapped an arm around her, "Tell me about it Jessy. What is life like once you are rumored to be the girlfriend of Zac Hanson, teen heart throb." Rosie asked. "It's the pits. Photographers everywhere and they're surrounded by fans. Man there are so many cars paked on our country road, one car can barely navigate it any more. Are my neighbors angry. It's so bad Rosie, we were asked to move. Even my school called and asked Momma to keep me home because everybody suddenly is a Hanson fan and lined up to be interviewed instead of going to class. The pits, huh?" Jessy sighed. "Take a look and see. This made local and national news. Roll the clip." Rosie said and the two took their seats, Chele and Tay had scooted down. The clip showed the school and town overrun by fans and reporters, the country road with cars parked on both sides, fans in the corn fields, surrounding the house with the music of Hanson blaring everywhere. "Like I said your life has changed alot since you called me that day. Roll the last clip." Rosie called as Zac finally took his seat next to Jessy, "Babe I'm so sorry about all of this." he whispered. It began with short clips of numerous beginnings to National and Local news forecast all reporting, "The National Guard was called into action this morning to clear a small MidWest town that has been runover by Hanson Fans. By noon the source of the fans interest, the rumored girlfriend of the youngest band member was escorted from her home and taken into protective custody." The footage showed the house surrounded by fans still as the convoy pulled into the drive and the formed a human fence blocing view from the house to their vehicles. Screams were heard when the door opened and the Jessy stepped forwrd and was escorted to a vehicle and they all pulled out and as the fans followed each vehicle went in a different direction. "So what did happen Jessy?" Rosie asked. "Babe I'm sorry. Don't cry Jessy." Zac said as Jessy couldn't handle it and bolted off stage. "We'll go to break." Rosie said signalling to the camera man to follow her. "I got you. Sweetie I'm so sorry this hurts." Walker said wrapping her in his arms, rocking her gently as she cried. "Jessy this is all my fault." Zac said catching up to her as Walker wrapped him in his arms too. "It's not your fault. It's just who you are and I, I... Oh Zac I love you. Why's that such a bad thing suddenly?" Jessy asked turning into his arms. She laid her head on her shoulder and as she did, she noticed the camera. "You know there's something I don't understand." Jessy said staring into the camera before pushing away from Zac, wiping her tears and walking to the camera. "Yeah I'm talking to you, all of you. You know the guys just released the first single off the new album and there's all sorts of negative hype out there about their a thing in the past and don't have the fans to make it to the top ten. Well did you just see the clips of their fans stalking me and I'm not even a Hanson. I can't sing worth a hill of beans. I can't play a musical instrument. All I can do is love Zac Hanson and I'm overrun by Hanson fans everywhere I go. So many fans, Momma didn't have any choice but to ask me to live somewhere else so she didn't have to worry that we'd be safe. I mean eventually I would have left home but I wasn't quite ready for it to happen now. But you tell me there aren't any fan out there and the Band is washed up. Maybe I ought to say, fellow Hanson Fans, we've been quite and polite long enough, it's time we stand up and be heard. Maybe I ought to say, fellow Hanson Fans, we can be heard. First turn off any Radio program that disses the band, or refuses your request to play Hanson. Then write, call and e-mail the sponsors to that radio program and let them know you are a proud Hanson Fan and you will no longer be treated this way. Let them know that because they sponsor a program that refuses to play Hanson and talks negatively about them, that you are a Proud Hanson Fan and will no longer buy their product or use their service. Maybe I ought to say, I am a Hanson Fan and I will be heard. Time has come for all of you to stand up, be heard and make a difference." Jessy finished, adding, "I guess I'm done crying. Sorry about that everyone. It's been a little hectic in my life and I tend to stress out a little." "A little." Chele squealed. "Well I never." Jessy said making her way back on stage dragging Zac along. "Way to rock Sis." Taylor said stopping her and hugging her. "It's just how I feel Tay. You, you're my sister don't be telling them everything." Jessy said gazing at Chele. "Yeah I'm you're sister and maybe I ought to say, I am a Hanson Fan and I will be heard and soon as I'm done here I'm doing what you suggested. I'm writing the sponsors to the station that has given me nothing but lip for the past two years instead of playing my request for Hanson. You rock Sis and I'm so proud of you." Chele said wrapping an arm around Tay and joining in on the hug. "So Jessy what did happen?" Rosie asked. "Well Rosie you saw on the clip that I was forced to move and I'm happy to report that things have returned to the boring little town it was before Hanson happened. Maybe as a thank you for my leaving and returning things to normal, you could all write your local stations and let them know Hanson is alive and they rock." Jessy answered "Quite the promoter. Chris Sabec watch out." Rosie teased. "Are you after my job Jessy?" Chris asked from the wings as he and Walker joined the four. "Daddy." Jessy squealed racing to his arms. Walker took her chair and pulled her to his lap as Chele stood and Taylor took her chair, pulling her to his lap making room for Chris. "Next to me, father of Hanson, Walker Hanson and on the far end, Chris Sabec, personal representative of Hanson. Welcome. So Chris is she just a little promoter?" Rosie asked. "She certainly stirs things up doesn't she?" Chris teased. "Daddy I don't want his job. You tell him that. okay." Jessy said kissing his cheek, adding, "Umm I'm gonna sit on Zac's lap okay." "You don't love me, boo hoo." Walker teased. "Oh Daddy I love you, just not the same way I love Zac. You know Mommy won't let you have a girlfriend. Nope, nope, nope." Jessy replied and everyone laughed. "So true sweetie. She says that all the time doesn't she?" Walker teased back, adding, "Besides Zac won't let you have another boyfriend. That job he likes." "No way. You only get one true love and that's me." Zac said pulling Jessy to his lap, hugging her tight. Walker explained all that had happened in Jessy's life and Chris talked about the promotional tour, inviting the fans to come out and meet them. After the show they all headed to Tulsa except Chris.
