Wish That I Was There

Part Three

"You told her what? Chele baby how could you? I was so sure you would tell her to high tail it home, that's why I insisted she call you and listen to what you said. Boy blew that one. You really think this is what she needs to do?" Barbara asked. "Momma remember how crazy it made me. I doubted him, me, everthing for so long. Don't you remember what it did to me? The not knowing tore me apart and you freaking out when you found out I had told him where I lived and to come visit me. You were going to drive down, pack me up and steal me away, abduct me you might say." Chele shared laughing at the thought, adding, "You would, wouldn't you Momma?" "Didn't have a chance, that young man of yours was just as eager to find the answers to all those doubts. I was so scared that it was this old, fat, dumb, ugly, pathetic loser who knew just enough to pass himself off as J. Taylor Hanson. Man was I surprised when the two of you called me. Speaking of that young man of yours, how are you two doing?" Barbara finally asked. "Oh Momma I miss him so much. It's just so hard. Now when we fnally get together we're like all over each other and knowing that he's going to have to leave me again. Well, let's just say I'm rethinking this promise to myself to graduate high school a virgin. And don't bother to lecture me. Momma I thought about would my life be better or worse without him or how would we deal with my getting pregnant because I couldn't wait. I mean I could easily make not becoming a mother before I graduate, there's not quite seven months left of school and a baby takes nine." Chele shared. "Oh Chele, I'm not going to lecture you. I know you'll do what's right for you because you love you. Just remember I love you and I'm always here for you no matter what. There isn't anything the two of us can't handle. Well I guess I better say a little pray for Sis and hope she meets him, and still likes him after she does. Bye baby." Barbara said hanging up and Chele went online to write Taylor. "Hey babe it's me. I talked to Sis and as soon as I hung up, Momma called. Is Zac around?? Momma said Sis is trying to get in TOUCH with him. If you're online write me back and we'll chat a bit. Maybe we can do a little online making out. hehehe. Love ya babe, hugs and kisses ((XXXcheleXXX))" she emailed Taylor. "Hey babe, I'll make out with you any chance I can get. Nope Zac's not here. He split the minute we were done talking to Chris. He's in a gloomy mood. What's with the TOUCH??? Enough about Zac, I want to make out. I'm stepping in front of you gazing into those sexy brown eyes and you look at me the way only you can do. I can feel myself weaken, I have to have you." Taylor sent and the two made out long distance and discussed their relationship, her pending move, her folks. Zac slowed down as he neared his Grampa's but at the last minute decided not to stop, but to go do something fun, heading to Laser Quest, figuring on blowing anyone and everyone away. As he entered the door, "Zac. Hey man, join us." a buddy called out. "Hey guys, what's up?" Zac asked, adding, "What's with everyone?" "Man you should have seen her. Gorgeous, what a knockout? But she didn't act it. You know, now that I think about it, I don't think that she thinks she's all that." he shared. "Sounds like someone I saw earlier. Where'd she go?" Zac asked. "She looked around like she was looking for someone then she was gone. I think she's looking for her man." he answered. "Hmm I guess I'll go look for her." Zac replied heading to the door. "They say she was in a blue Mustang." he called out to him. "What? You sure?" Zac asked with a look of surprise on his face. "Yeah man I watched her pull out, she headed that way. You're a lucky man. She was bitching dude." another one answered pointing in the direction the blonde had left. Zac headed to the van and made his was after her. "Where would she be going? Where am I going?" Zac mumbled looking down the road to see where he was headed. "The Arcade." Zac shouted as it came to him and he headed to the Mall, making his was to the arcade. "Hey Zac. Long time man. You should have seen her, heaven." a friend from the old neighborhood said. "Nooo. Which way did she go? I swear I'm going to catch up with her yet." Zac declared. "Way to go man. She headed down the Mall that way." he answered pointing the direction for Zac and off he went. "Why is she walking the mall? Where could she be headed? Where would I head?" Zac asked himself and it came to him, "Mickey D's. Where else do I go when I''m done at the arcade. Man I'm stalking my stalker." His pace quickened with the anticipation of finding her, "Wait" he called out as he saw her exiting the Mall, racing to catch up with her. As he cleared the doors, Zac immediately started scanning the area for her blonde hair but saw her blue Mustang leaving the parking lot instead. After watching which way she turned, Zac made a mad dash for the van and was in hot pursuit, catching up with her before losing her in traffic. "Where did she go?" Zac said watching for the blue Mustang as he pulled to the side of the road trying to figure out where they are and where she might go. "Man I'm almost home." Zac said. "Hey Mom. Did Jessy call by any chance?" he asked dialing home. "No dear, she hasn't. Are you expecting her to?" Diana asked. "No. Wishfull thinking I guess. Maybe I'll call her. I'm on my way home be there soon." Zac said before hanging up. "What did you forget Zachary?" Diana asked picking up the phone that rang the minute she humg it up. "It's me Mom, not Zac. I take he isn't home then if you think I'm him?" Jessy asked. "Oh sweetie hi. We were just talking about you. Zac called to see if you had called. H said he'd be here soom." Diana informed her. "He'll be home soon huh? Well Mom, I'm outside the gate." Jessy said pushing the gate buzzer. "Hang on Jessy someone's at the gate. I didn't quite hear what you said dear." Diana shared. "Mom I'm at the gate. Look on the monitor, I'm waving at you." Jessy insisted. "Oh my. Jessy? Is that you dear? Walker. Walker Hanson come here quick, look it's Jessy." Diana squealed. "I see dear, open the gate and let her in." Walker suggested. "Oh my yes. Jessy, sweetie come in." Diana said as she pushed the gate button and it swung open for her to drive in to the second gate which was already opened. "Wow it looks bigger than in the picture." Jessy said noticing the door open and Zac's parents walking her way as she parked. "Sweetie welcome. Oh Jessy, why didn't you tell us you were coming?" Diana asked, arms open as Jessy made her way. "Mom I just couldn't stand it anymore and I up and packed a bag, hit the ATM machine and headed this way. Momma wasn't too happy but I just had to meet Zac. I just have to know." Jessy said feeling the warmth of her arms as the tears began to fall. "Don't cry sweetie, I understand. Zachary feels about the same way." Diana shared. "Oh Mom, I adore your Dad. He's about the coolest." Jessy shared lifting her head and wiping her eyes. "You met Daddy?" Diana asked. "Yeah, I've been looking for Zac all day now and Grampa's place was on my list of places to look." Jessy shared. "List of places to look? Who made your list?" Walker asked. "Oh Daddy hi." Jessy squealed making her way to his arms. "Hey baby. It's about time we met, right mother?" Walker said holding her tight. "Oh help he's squeezing me to death?" Jessy giggled. "Daddy don't hurt her." Jessie hollered coming through the door. "Jessie. Look at you, you're beautiful." Jessy said racing her way hugging her. "Thanks but who are you?" Jessie asked. "Guess." Jessy insisted. "Blue eyed blonde, you must be a Hanson." Jessie guessed. "Wrong." Jessy teased, adding, "In my dreams though." "Oh interesting. Dreams of being a Hanson. By marriage some day?" Jessie asked. "If you're asking, I'm not that way. I like boys way too much." Jessy said and they all laughed. "Me too." Jessie added. "They rock don't they? Especially one." Jessy added rolling her eyes and sighing. "This special one wouldn't happen to be a Hanson, play in a rock and roll band?" Jessie asked. "Oh to die for." Jessy sighed again. "Do we share the same name?" Jessie asked bringing a smile to Jessy's face. "Yeah sweetie it's me, Jessy." Jessy answered hugging her again as they squealed. "Zac is going to die. Man he has been so, so... Man Jessy he's going to... You'll see for yourself." Jessie said pointing up the drive to the approaching van. "Oh don't pass out now." Jessy mumbled as she began to tremble in anticipation. "You'll be just fine baby." Walker said wrapping an arm around her. "Sweetie you ready to meet my Zachary?" Diana asked stroking Jessy's long blonde hair. "Yeah Mom." Jessy answered shaking her head yes watching the van stop, Zac just staring at her car, then her for the longest time. "What's wrong?" Jessy asked worried over Zac's not getting out. "I think maybe we ought to leave you two alone." Walker said kissing her forehead, adding, "Mother, Jessie, let's go inside and leave them alone. It'll be okay baby." "He's just scared like you. Just love him Jessy. Just love him." Diana suggested kissing her cheek. "I do Mom." Jessy whispered as the three left, heading back into the house. "Hey Zac." Jessy said waing at him. "Jessy?" Zac choked out almost in tears. "Yeah Zac. Don't be mad." Jessy asked looking down at the ground. "Mad? At you? Why, what did you do?" Zac asked his voice cracking a little. "Zac I couldn't wait anymore. I know we were suppose to meet next month, but I just had to know." Jessy explained closing her eyes trying hard not to cry. "Jessy don't cry. I'm not mad just shocked. I've been chasing you all day and feeling so guilty about it. I'm the one who's sorry. Jessy I was chasing after another woman, but not really." Zac shared totally confused. "What?" Jessy asked totally confused by his admission. "This morning at the gas station, I saw you but not your face. Jessy I didn't know it was you, but I sure was attracted to you and I've been chasing after you all day." Zac admitted. "You have?" Jessy asked, adding, "The gas station was my first stop in Tulsa." Jessy shared. "You mean I've been after you since you hit town?" Zac asked. "Yeah Zac." Jessy answered as she realized Zac had spent the day chasing after another woman een though it was her. Her face mirrored her thoughts as the smile vanished, her face dropped as she thought over and over about Zac betraying her, cheating on her even though it was her. "Jessy I know and I'm sorry. I've hated myself all day, but there was something about her, I mean you." Zac tried to explain. "What if it hadn't been me Zac?" Jessy asked fighing the tears, staring at him, fearing his answer. "Jessy it was you. Don't you get it? That's why I was attracted to you, because it was you. I've seen lookers before and looked Jessy but it was different with you. I guess I should have known right then, the way I felt and the belly ring. Man Jessy I even remember seeing the "Z" now why didn't I know it was you?" Zac explained. "Maybe because I'm suppose to be such a good girl and my boyfriend said no, well meet next month, the whole family will come, so that 'Z' belly ring he bought would have been in Michigan still, not here in Tulsa." Jessy answered his doubts. "Hey yeah, what are you doing here?" Zac teased and the gazed at each other Jessy leaning on the trunk of her car and Zac leaning against the hood of the van. "That's part of the reason I came." Jessy suggested looking back at the ground. "Babe look at me?" Zac asked, watching as she slowly raised her eys to his. "Jessy it's okay that you came. I've been full of doubts too. Maybe not doubts, wonders." Zac whispered. "Wonders?" Jessy asked with a million questions in her eyes. "Yeah I've wondered what it would be like to hold your hand in mine." Zac shared as he stepped nearer, reaching for her hand, caaressing it before gently holding it in his. "Zac." Jessy sighed as a tear broke free and trickled down her cheek. "I've wondered whati it would be like to touch you." Zac shared wiping the tear with a finger before caressing her face. Jessy turned into his hand, kissing it before gazing back into his warm brown eyes. "I've wondered what it would feel like to hold you in my arms." Zac shared stepping in front of her, placing his hands on her waist, slowly wrapping them around her pulling her closer and closer until they both sighed as their bodies met. Jessy hugged him tight laying her head against his chest, listening to the beating of his heart. Zac instinctively stroked her hair, kissing the top of her head. "Jessy?" Zac whispered. "Yeah babe. Jessy asked pulling back and looking up at him, adding, "Man Zac you're taller than I imagined." she shared as they smiled at each other. "Jessy I've wondered what it would be like to kiss you." Zac shared leaning down and placing his lips to hers for the first time. He kissed her so tenderly, she moaned his name as she kissed him back with more passion until he moaned her name. "Cool" Jessy whispered. "Yeah cool." Zac replied. "Zac you got anymore wonders because that pretty much took care of all my doubts." Jessy asked. "Yeah there another one, but I'm afraid you'd slap my face right now, so I think I'll save it for another time." Zac confessed. "Oh now you have me wondering too." Jessy teased. "Babe you have any more doubts?" Zac asked. "Not a one. Zac, I love you." Jessy shared touching her hand to his cheek, caresing his face. "I love you too Jessy especially now that I've met you. Babe where's the ring I bought you? Didn't you like it?" Zac asked. "Zac you know I love it. It's right here next to my heart." Jessy said lifting the chain around her neck, revealing his ring, adding, "Zac I couldn't put it on. I want you to." Jessy watched as he unclasped the chain, sliding the ring free before taking her hand in his and slipping the ring on her finger, "Be mine forever?" Zac asked kissing the ring on her finger before kissing the back of her hand. Jessy turned her hand and caressed his face, her thumb outling his lips, "Forever Zac." Jessy answered as they kissed. "So did you meet the whole family?" Zac asked. "No hun just the folks and Jessie." Jessy answered. "Well let's introduce you to the rest of them." Zac said as the two made their way indoors.
