Wish That I Was There

Part One

"I must be crazy." Jessy said staring down the highway in the dead of night. "No one in sight. I feel like I took a wrong turn and left this planet. Maybe I'm in Albertane." she said to herself and starting laughing. She had been a fan since the first time she heard 'Mmmbop' on the radio and for some reason she jumped up and down and screamed at the top of her lungs. "My god what's happened?" her mother screamed bursting in her bedroom. "Aren't they wonderful. Listen to them, they're the greatest. I love this song." Jessy screamed back still jumping up and down. That was the beginning, her mother standing there staring at her like she had lost her mind and the beginning of all the rude comments, they sound like girls, they look like girls, are you sure they're not girls? It didn't matter to Jessy, that day Hanson Rocked her world and her life was about to begin. Through the years her devotion to the band remained strong except for that one time. Because of Hanson and her love of the band, Jessy was a fan. You could say an obsessed fan. She collected every thing she could find about Hanson, her collection grew. They even joked that they had to move because her collection outgrew her room and she needed a larger room. The truth was, her parents divorce caused the move. They lost the family farm when her mother filed for divorce but she was so glad she had finally divored him. "There's a reasn for everything and Hanson came along when I needed them most." Jessy said aloud as a tear broke free. She knew she would have gone crazy dealing with everything, the divorce mostly. "Man I ain't going there. I hate that part of my life. I'm headed to Tulsa and everyone thinks I'm crazy but I don't care." Jessy said as she glanced at the clock, figuring her mother would be waking and finding the note. 'I'm sorry you are all wrong about this. This TIme Around things will be different, I'm going to see to that. I'm doing what Zac suggested years ago when I first met him, "we all live to be crazy right?" he asked and I'm going to go for it. Please try not to get mad, I just have to try. I won't have to say "I Wish That I Was There" ever again. Love Jessy p.s. I'll call collect as soon as I'm there, promise.' If nothing more, This Time Around, she would at least meet him. She had promised herself she wouldn't go back home until she did. "Aaahh. It said Tulsa 20 miles. " Jessy screamed at the highway sign. She just chose a Tulsa exit to find gas, a bathroom and food and then would begin tracking Hanson. "I can't fail with all of Erin's help and if I do, she'll come and introduce me, she promised." Jessy laughed to herself as she pulled up to a pump, opened the door and slowly stepped out, moaning at the realization that she had sat behind the wheel of her car for the past ten hours. She slowly stretched, twisting at the waist trying to stretch her back out. "Get a load of that. Hot." Bobbie said. "I see, I see. She's a knock out. Probably in love with some loser that cheats on her. I could make her happy." Zac replied not taking his eyes off her, hoping to get a glimpse of the front side of the blonde haired hottie, adding, "What I wouldn't give to be that belly ring." "Hey man, I thought you and Jessy were going together still?" Bobbie asked. "Jessy, oh yeah." Zac answered suddenly feeling guilty about his thoughts but unable to take his eyes off of her, turning his head as Bobbie pulled out of the station. "Jessy would rip that head off if she saw the look on your face." Bobbie reminded. "Yeah in a three page e-mail. Nothing painless for my Jessy, a nice slow reaming. She'd start with Zac how could you?" he replied chuckling to himself. "Not funny man, you and Jessy been an item for what 2 - 3 years now. I can't believe you two have never met. Man Zac I couldn't handle it, why don't you just go and meet her. You've loved her for so long you deserve a chance to show her." Bobbie shared. "Seems like everytime we try, something gets in the way. Wish That I Was There." Zac answered shaking his head no. "Sorry man." Bobbie said, adding, "How about Mickey D's, that'll cheer you up." "Don't matter man. Whatever." Zac moaned totally bummed as Bobbie pulled through the drive through and parked in the back lot as they ate. "Hey isn't that the same car. The hottie at the gas station." Bobbie asked pointing at the blue Mustang, adding, "With a matching blue license plate. Must be from out of town." "Get out of the way." Zac mumbled at the car which had pulled along side the mustang and the driver was talking to the hottie. "Hey ain't that Jimmy. Leave it to Jimmy to hop on a new piece of meat." Bobbie suggested. "She ain't like that." Zac insisted with a forceful tone. "Man I didn't mean nothing by it, but Jimmy, that's a different story." Bobbie replied, beeping his horn, waving at Jimmy when he turned around. By now the mustang had gotten her order and left. "Man we got to split.I have to meet Ike and Tay in fifteen minutes. They'll be pissed if I'm late." Zac reminded. "I'm jetting. Don't worry, I'll get you home in time." Bobbie assured as he started up and headed to Zac's place. "Hey look, she ditched Jimmy." Zac said pointing at the blue mustang in the road side park and the blonde sitting at a picnic table. "All my luck, I have to go home." Zac complained as they drove on by and headed to his house. "I'm back." Zac hollered as he entered the front door. "It's about time man. Where you been?" Isaac asked. "Looking at a vision." Bobbie teased. "What? Man Zac you're headed for trouble. Jessy finds out, she'll ring your neck." Isaac warned. "I know, I know. I don't need you to remind me I'm going with Jessy." Zac insisted as Taylor joined them and Bobbie headed out.
