Sure About It

Part Nineteen

"Come on babe. Where you want to nap Jessy?" Taylor asked leading her into the house. "Where? I don't care but I prefer your arms lately." Jessy answered laying her head against his shoulder. "My arms huh?" Taylor asked gazing at her. "Please Tay?" Jessy pouted. "I think I can handle that." Taylor answered leading her to the family room picking up an afghan and setting in the recliner before pulling Jessy to his lap. "You're so good to me." Jessy whispered cuddling against his chest. Taylor covered them with the afghan, asking, "This what you wanted?" "I like. Here give me your hand?" Jessy replied taking his hand and placing it on the baby, adding, "Someone else likes." "Thanks again for letting me come today." Taylor said kissing her forehead. "Oh Tay I'm sorry it took me this long. Sometimes I can be stubborn about things." Jessy shared, adding, "Tay can I ask you something?" "Yeah babe, anything." Taylor replied. "Have you thought about a name for the baby?" Jessy asked rolling towards him, giggling. "What's so funny?" Taylor asked. "Someone has come between us." Jessy explained looking down at her belly against his and the space between them. "Already huh?" Taylor chuckled. "If it's a boy, I've been thinging about naming him after you. You know Jordan Taylor Hanson the second but call him Jordan." Jessy shared. "Really Jessy?" Taylor gasped. "Really. I mean if it's okay with you." Jessy whispered. "Jordan huh? I think I'd like that." Taylor whispered, adding, "You're suppose to nap." "I know. I will now." Jessy sighed taking a deep breath and relaxing, before yawning, "I think I'd like a boy." "A boy huh? That would be nice. You go to sleep." Taylor whispered. "Jessy I want to go to a Halloween Party but don't know what to go as. If you were going, what would you be?" Jessie asked entering the family room. "Sssh Sis. Jessy needs to nap. Ask her later." Taylor grumbled. "Oh stop being a grump. Jessie my choices are limited. Let's see a pumpkin, a bag of garbage or I could.. I know! I know! I could go as a pregnant person." Jessy answered. "Oh so funny. Let's try, Jessy if you were me what would you go as?" Jessie asked. "Oh I see, I'm you now. I would be.... Hmmm are we going to have fun or are we going because a certain someone is going?" Jessy asked. "Huh? Oh, someone." Jessie answered with a giggle. "Do we want someone to notice us or want us?" Jessy asked. "You can do that?" Jessie squealed. "Easy. Which one?" Jessy asked scooting up in Taylors lap. "Babe." Taylor complained pulling her back. "But Taylor." Jessy pouted. "But Taylor." Jessie complained then pouted, "I need help." "No getting excited or worked up. Just talk okay?" Taylor bargained. "Promise. You're so good to me." Jessy squealed kissing his cheek. "Yeah Tay for a brother you're not bad." Jessie squealed kissing his other cheek. "To make him want you, I'd go as Wonder Woman, Britney Spears, or Pamela Lee." Jessy shared. "Britney Spears?? Get real babe." Taylor insisted. "Oh we don't care for the Britney look. The big boobs and bare midriff does nothing for you huh?" Jessy teased raising her top exposing her midriff, adding, "Did I ruin it for you baby." "Jess.." is all Taylor managed to get out before laughing, laughing hard and uncontrollably. So hard he was squirming beneath Jessy, "Tay stop. It's not that funny. Taylor I don't feel so good." she squealed putting her hand to her mouth. "Stop it moron. You're making Jessy sick." Jessie screamed smacking him to get his attention. "Hold it babe. I've got you." Taylor said rising, carrying Jessy to the nearest bathroom, adding, "I'm sorry hun. Let me help." As Jessy kneeled to vomit, Taylor pulled her hair back, "Oh Jessy." he sighed handing her a wet washcloth. "It's not your fault but you are better than a roller coaster." Jessy shared wiping her face and reaching for Taylor. "Come on babe. To bed with you." Taylor insisted. "Taylor no. I don't want to go to bed. Please." Jessy pleaded, adding, "Besides I'm really hungry now." "What am I going to do with you?" Taylor grumbled. "Just put up with me Tay. i know I'm difficult, impossible at times but I can't help it." Jessy whispered first gazing at him then looking away, "Honest I can't." "Let's get something in your tummy before you get sick again." Taylor said leading her to the kitchen making her some toast and a cup of tea. "Jessy I'm sorry. This was all my faut. Who'd have thought a Halloween Party would end up making you sick." Jessie apologized joining the two. "Yeah and I didn't even get to go." Jessy replied and they sat discussing costumes. "You know the first iime I saw you playing volleyball..." Taylor said suddenly off in thought. "Hey where'd you go." Jessie teased nudging him. "Huh? Oh yeah well Jessy's volleyball uniform was definitely hot." Taylor finished with a smile. "That would be an easy way to go. You could carry a volleyball or I've got all sorts of trophies." Jessy offered. "You thought she was hot huh?" Jessie asked watching Taylor stare at Jessy. "Still do." Taylor sighed turning Jessy's attention his way. "Taylor." Jessy gasped noticing him staring at her. "I do Jessy. Watching the baby grow inside you.. Awesome." Taylor confessed kneeling next to her kisisng her belly then resting his head there whispering, "Hey baby it's Daddy." "Ummm I smell pizza." Jessy squealed. "Whoa." Taylor exclaimed after being kicked, adding, "You were telling the truth. The baby loves pizza." "Daddy hurry! The baby...." Jessy started to share. "I'll get it baby. Hold on just a minute." Taylor shouted into Jessy's belly then raced to his parents grabbing a box of pizza and racing back, shouting at Jessy's belly, "Daddy's back and I have pizza." "What on earth?" Diana squealed as Taylor opened the box and pulled out a piece of pizza and handed it to Jessy. "Eat Jessy. I'll get you a plate and glass of milk." Taylor said heading to the cupboard grabbing a stack of plates. "I'll help. You go I'll get the milk." Jessie offered. "Thanks sis." Taylor said returning to place a plate in front of Jessy before kneeling back down, "That better baby?" Taylor asked stroking her belly then explaining what had happened. "Here sweetie we stopped and filled your new prescription." Diana said pulling the bottle from her purse handing it to Taylor. "I can't swallow that. It's as big as a horse pill." Jessy squealed as Taylor opened the bottle and produced a pill. "Here babe. I'll cut it in half. You should be able to swallow this." Taylor suggested halving a pill and handing it to her. "Hey I know, why don't you take them for me?" Jessy teased pulling a whole pill from the bottle and pushing towards Taylor, whispering, "I gotta so should you." "Fine. I'll take one but you better take one everyday." Taylor said opening his mouth and sucking the pill from her fingers then quickly grabbing her glass of milk to wash it down, adding, "Yuck." "Oh great yuck huh?" Jessy pouted looking at the two halves in her hand. "Please babe." Taylor whispered kissing her cheek, placing her glass of milk in her other hand before gazing deep into her bright blue eyes. "Here goes." Jessy sighed popping the pills then chugging down her milk, adding, "Oh yucky is right." She managed to eat another slice of pizza as everyone discussed Halloween and the baby, complete with pictures. "Come on babe. No arguing this time, you are going to bed." Taylor said as Jessy began to nod off. "Yeah I am tired." Jessy mumbled. "Sweetie why don't you stay in the guest room down the hall for the night?" Diana asked. "That's okay Mom, I don't have any jammies here, I'll go home." Jessy replied laying her head down on the table. "Right. Sweetie you can sleep in a tee shirt. Taylor get her one of yours. Son get her to bed before she falls asleep right here." Diana ordered. Taylor rose and lifted Jessy into his arms, making his way down the hall to the guest room. "Did you tell them we agreed on a name for the baby?" Jessy mumbled as he picked her up. "No babe. We can tell them later." Taylor replied. "Okay. You do like it don't you? Your not just being nice to me again are you?" Jessy mumbled, cuddling against him. "Of course I like it. I can't believe you want to name him after me. I mean if it is a he. Come on babe. You wait here and I'll go get you one of my shirts to sleep in." Taylor said setting her on the edge of the bed, bending to take off her shoes. "I want the shirt you're wearing." Jessy whispered laying her head on his shoulder. "So you like this one huh?" Taylor asked. "I don't care. It just smells like you." Jessy shared."Oh so you like the smell of this one huh?" Taylor teased with a little smirk. "Yeah you know I do. That's why I'm always doing this." Jessy replied taking a deep breath. "So you've been sniffing me huh? All this time I was thinking, she likes me, she's relaxing so she must like me." Taylor share. "I do. I do like you and I like the way you smell too." Jessy said collapsing against him. "Come on babe. Let's get you to bed. So tired." Taylor whispered pulling his shirt up over his head. "Hey I was almost sleeping there." Jessy squealed as his shirt rode up between them. "I know baby. Come on get this on so you can go to sleep." Taylor said handing her the shirt. "Turn around." Jessy ordered puliing her top up over her head tossing it at him, removing her bra and doing the same. "Yeah I'll take care of your clothes." Taylor mumbled making his way to the dresser shaking them out, folding them and placing them on top. "Tight fit." Jessy exclaimed tossing her pants at him. "What?" Taylor asked turning her way chuckling, adding, "You look so cute. Hey baby you're wearing Daddy's shirt and you look so cute here." With that Taylor made his wey to her side, kissed her cheek and belly before turning the bed down, ordering, "To bed Mommy." Jessy crawled in bed, laid on her side then proceeded to stuff a pillow under one leg. "It helps me not roll over on the baby but I think that's why I end up on my back some times." Jessy explained the questions in his eyes. "Oh. Let me get you more pillows babe. Maybe if I put one behind your shoulders you wouldn't roll to your back." Taylor suggested racing to his room, explaining as he ran past the family. He returned with a pair of pillows and began placing them behind her. "Wait." Jessy squealed turning her head towards the pillow, sniffing then adding, "Taylor these are yours. I can't take your pillows." "It's okay babe there are spares. I can use them. I just figured if you wanted my shirt then you'd want my pillows." Taylor replied. "I do. Tay why are you so nice to me lately." Jessy asked beginning to cry. "Babe don't cry. I'm sorry please don't cry." Taylor whispered. "I can't help it." Jessy sniffled out. "Then I won't be nice to you if it's gonna make you cry." Taylor teased waiting for her to lift her head, placing his last pillow under her. "You'd do that for me." Jessy choked out cuddling into the pillow, nodding off. "Yeah babe I told you I'd do anything for you." Taylor whispered pulling her hair back, kissing her cheek, adding, "Go to sleep." Taylor sat at her side making sure she would be fine. "Sleep tight. I love you Jessy." Taylor whispered bending, kissing her lightly. "Tay.' Jessy sighed. "Go to sleep." he whispered kissing her forehead before making his way back to the family. "She's comfortable now. Thanks Mom that pillow behind the shoulders might work." Taylor shared taking his seat. "So you agreed on a name?" Diana asked. "Yeah. Jordan Taylor Hanson II. She wants to call him Jordan though." Taylor shared bursting with pride, adding, "We haven't discussed girl names yet." "Oh there's plenty of time for that." Diana replied looking at Walker with a big smile, winking at him before asking, "Don't you agree dear." "Most definitely. Plenty of time to discuss a girl's name. Plenty of time. Son did you suggest naming the baby after you or did Jessy?" Walker asked winking at his wife. "You know it was Jessy. I wouldn't suggest something. You told me everything is about Jessy. Remember?" Taylor answered. HIs words stop her in her tracks. Jessy was on the way to report she couldn't sleep, she missed him but his words made sleeping impossible. "Everything's about me." Jessy mumbled stopping and leaning against the wall so confused by his words. "Did you hear that?" Isaac asked turning towards the hallway. "Must be Jessy." Taylor said grabbing a bite and heading down the hall. Jessy quickly made her way back to bed. "Hey what's wrong babe?" Taylor asked noticing her tossing and turning, adding when she didn't answer, "Jessy what's wrong?" "Let's see I'm awake. Maybe I can't sleep." Jessy snapped back. "Let me take off my shoes and I'll hold you." Taylor suggested sitting on the edgeof the bed. "Like that would help." Jessy mumbled lifting a foot and pushing him off the bed. "What the hell?" Taylor moaned hitting the floor. "I'm going home." Jessy grumbled rising and heading to the dresser pulling on her pants then gathering up the rest of her things. When she turned for her shoes, noticing them by Taylor, she turned back and headed out barefoot. "Jessy what's wrong? Wait your shoes." Taylor called out picking up the shoes and chasing after her. In the hallway Jessy noticed Isaac at the end so she turned and headed to the side door. "Jessy where you going?" Isaac asked noticing her head down the hall and out the door. "Out the side door." Isaac shared pointing as Taylor made it to the hallway. "Jessy wait. What's wrong baby? Jessy talk to me." Taylor called out racing after her catching up with her halfway to her place. "Just leave me alone." Jessy grumbled pulling her arm from his grip. "No I won't. Don't ask me to." Taylor replied, adding, "Jessy you don't have your shoes on. Please let me put them on it's chilly out." "I said leave me alone." Jessy screamed grabbing her shoes and heading to her house with Taylor on her heels. By the time she reached the house she was hot under the collar but chilled to the bone. "Brrrr." Jessy moaned grabbing the afghan off the back of the couch, sitting down with her feet under her, wrapping it around her. Without saying a word, Taylor headed to the bedroom and grabbed the comforter and returned wrapping it around her. "Stop it okay. Just stop it. I don't need you so just stop being nice to me because you have to." Jessy screamed at him even though the comforter was just what she needed, she was feeling warmer. "You don't need me? Nice to you because I have to?" Taylor asked confused. "Yeah. Do you need to get your hearing checked." Jessy replied snottily turning her back to him. "Jessy what's wrong? What did I do?" Taylor pleaded to know totally confused. "Stop bugging me. Why don't you just get a life. That's it get a life Taylor. I know, why don't you go with your brothers. I heard them ask you and you said 'No I'll stay home with Jessy'. Well please don't. Jessy don't want you here so why don't you just go and get a life." Jessy screamed at him. "What? Jessy you were happy I was staying home with you and the baby. What's changed?" Taylor asked even more confused. "What's changed? Well look at me." Jessy screamed throwing the blankets to one side, standing, "Anything look different. Remember when you met me? Do I look the same? Is my life the same? About the only thing the same is my hair maybe you'd like to change that to." Jessy screamed racing to the kitchen opening a drawer and grabbing a pair of scissors, hacking off her hair. "There is that better. Now that's changed too." Jessy screamed throwing the hair at him. "Jessy stop this. I don't know what's wrong but tell me I'll fix it." Taylor pleaded. The fear in his eyes brought her to her senses, "Oh my God. What have I done?" Jessy gasped. "It's okay Jessy. You're okay." Taylor whispered taking the scissors from her hand. "It's cute. A little uneven in the back but cute. Wow you have cute ears. I never noticed them before." Taylor said stroking her hair. "Oh my God." Jessy gasped running her hand down her head, her hair stoppng about the bottom of her ears. "It really is cute babe." Taylor said noticing the tears making their way down her face. "Yeah sure. Umm Tay could you make it even at least. "Sure babe." Taylor replied steppnig behind her evening her hair. When he finished, Taylor placed the scissors on the counter and turned her to him, "I like. I can see your face now." Taylor said picking up a napkin and wiping her tears, whispereing, "You gonna be okay babe?" "Taylor I'm scared. How'd this happen? One minute I can't sleep because I heard you say I love you and the next. Please don't go Tay. I do need you. What if..." Jessy explained terrified by the thought she was totally out of control. "You're okay Jessy. How about a glass of warm milk?" Taylor suggested holding her trying to comfort her. 'Maybe. I don't know." Jessy sniffed out. "Walk backwards." Taylor said still holding her making their way to the refrigerator. "To the left." Taylor said moving them to the stove, adding, "Now bed to the right." As he bent her to the right reaching for a sauce pan, the giggles began. "Now up." Taylor said placing the pan next to the milk. "Now...Ooops got a little on you." Taylor said pouring the milk into the pan, then looking around her wiping the splatters. "This shorter hair comes in handy. I don't think I can catch you on fire now." Taylor said turning on the burner and placing the pan on the flame. Jessy finally looked up at him, "What Tay?" she asked the questions in his eyes. "Nothing babe." Taylor replied pouring her a glass of milking before leading her to bed.
