Sure About It

Part Sixteen

"Zachary Hanson." Diana called out as he made his way downstairs for breakfast. "No more son, Jessy needs her sleep." she scolded turning her attentions to making breakfast. "Yeah Mom." Zac agreed wondering what on earth she was talking about, wondering if Jessy had been so upset with him that she couldn't sleep. "Three in the morning and you're there bending her ear." Diana sighed shaking her head no carrying food to the table. "You what?" Isaac gasped, quickly whispering, "That can't be you were with me." "3am. Who the hell would she have over at 3am?" Zac asked turning his back to their mother. "I didn't know she knew anyone besides us." Isaac wondered as the two headed to the deck. "Where are you going? You kept her up late enough as it was young man, let her sleep." Diana warned. "Yeah Mom. She's out of milk though and I promised to take her some before breakfast." Zac called out before whispering to Isaac, "I'll find out who. She'll tell me." Zac headed to the refrigerator for the milk then headed to Jessy's. "What on earth does she think she's doing? She's pregnant." Zac mumbled as he approached the house. The sight of the two of them asleep in the chair stopped him in his tracks. "Taylor. My God it's Taylor." Zac gasped standing at the slider just watching the two of them. Taylor sensed his pressence stirring before he woke. "It's real." he gasped gazing at Jessy who stirred, cuddling closer. Taylor's hand stroked her belly as she moved, causing the baby to stir. "Hey little one. Go back to sleep so Mommy can." Taylor whispered, stroking the baby, comforting it back to sleep. He turned noticing Zac standing at the door, "Ssshh. She's still asleep." Taylor whispered motioning him in. "I don't believe it. It's about time." Zac whispered smiling at him before heading to the refrigerator with the milk. "I don't believe it either. She doesn't hate me." Taylor choked out. "I kept telling you. I just didn't think she was ready to tell you yet." Zac whispered then bent down and kissed Jessy on the forehead. Once again she cuddled against Taylor, "Sssh. Go back to sleep." Taylor whispered gently stroking her hair until she sighed, falling back to sleep. "I better go before we wake her. Just wanted to know who I got chewed out for." Zac whispered. "What?" Taylor asked. "Mom thought it was me keeping Jessy up to 3am." Zac explained making his way back to the house. "You woke her. Zachary what did I say?" Diana chastised. "You said to leave her alone to sleep." Zac answered before explaining, "I did leave her alone. She's still sound asleep in your son's arms." "That's nice dear." Diana replied making another trip between the stove and the table. "Diana dear did you hear him?" Walker asked. "Yes dear, Jessy is still asleeeee...." Diana answered suddenly gasping then staring at Zac, then Isaac before she searched the room. As she searched the room again, "Don't look for him here. I told you Jessy is asleep in his arms." Zac shared again. "Thank you Lord." Diana gasped placing the dish on the table and falling to her knees in prayer. "When did this happen?" Walker asked. "I guess last night. I mean early this morning. We came home from the party early. Tay was in the room when I fell asleep around midnight." Zac answered before Isaac shared the practical joke Jessy had played on Zac and how it went wrong. "Man did he freak. The look on his face." Zac shared shaking his head trying to forget the image. "Jessy saw it too and she just fell apart." Isaac shared. "Tay was already outside when Jessy left in tears." Zac added. "When we got home, we were afraid of making things worse and decided to leave her alone. Well except for Taylor." Isaac finished. "She looked so peaceful. I haven't seen her that happy since before.." Zac explained suddenly remember why Jessy hadn't been happy. "I have to see. Please Walker." Diana pleaded. "I'd love to see it too." Walker replied and the two made their way hand in hand to Jessy's. They approached the house as quietly as possible, "Look there they are." Walker whispered pointing towards the two still cuddling together in the chair. "Thank you Jesus." Diana gasped causing the two to stir. "We seem to have an audience." Jessy whispered waking Taylor the rest of the way. "Huh?" he mumbled as Jessy smiled and nodded towards his parents. "Oh oh. We've been caught." Taylor teased waving them in. "I'd say red handed." Walker teased opening the slider then following his wife inside. "I'm so glad you came. Daddy help me up." Jessy said extending a hand to him, adding, "I'm sure Taylor's legs are numb by now." "Are not." Taylor argued, then whispered, "I could hold you forever." "Well someone has different plans." Jessy shared placing his hand on her belly. "Hey baby. What's wrong?" Taylor whispered to her belly, slowly stroking it. "I think it's declared it to be time for Mommy to get up." Jessy teased, adding in a panic, "Please Daddy. I think someone is using my bladder as a trampouline." With that Walker pulled her to her feet and she dashed off. "I can't believe it's finally happened. She told you she doesn't hate you, didn't she?" Diana asked. "Yeah Mom. I couldn't believe it either. She says she forgives me." Taylor answered with a big smile. "Yep she does. Someone is hungry and wants Fruit Loops. Oh no, I'm out of milk." Jessy shared returning to the group. "No you're not." Taylor insisted. "Tay I finished it off last night. I was going to stop on the way back from the party but I was so upset I forgot." Jessy argued. "Babe I'm telling you there is milk in the fridge. I'll even fix the baby a bowl of Fruit Loops." Taylor insisted rising and making his way to the kitchen, fixing her cereal. "Where'd that come from?" Jessy asked when he pulled milk from the refrigerator. "Zac brought it earlier." Taylor answered carrying her bowl to the table, asking, "How about some toast and juice too?" "That's okay. I just have to get something in me before I get the queasies." Jessy answered making her way to the table, adding, "If you'll excuse me. I really have to eat. Wait you said Zac was here?" "Yeah maybe twenty minutes ago. He said to tell you it's about time." "Yeah it is." Jessy mumbled through her cereal. "Is it doing the trick?" Diana asked taking the seat next to her reaching over and placing her hand on Jessy's belly. "Over here Mom." Taylor shared placing his hand on his mother's, moving it to where the baby had been last. "There you are. Morning baby. Gramma loves you." Diana exclaimed. "Sweetie we just made breakfast. If you're up to it why don't you come up to the house." Walker suggested. "Breakfast is ready huh." Jessy asked eating her last spoonful. "I'll clean up. You go get dressed." Taylor suggested. "Don't have to ask me twice." Jessy replied reaching for Taylor, smiling as he helped her to her feet. Jessy raced off grabbing clothes then making it into the shower. Within minutes she was out getting dressed, "Taylor." she called out. "What you need?" Taylor replied entering her bedroom. "Tay can I go with wet hair?" Jessy asked. "Sure Jessy. Maybe not it looks windy out. Dad is it windy out or does it just look that way?" Taylor replied then explained why he needed to know. "Now can I go with wet hair." Jessy asked holding a hooded fleece. "That should be okay sweetie. Here let me help you." Walker answered taking the fleece and holding it while she slipped in her arms. "There you two go." Walker exclaimed zipping her up then lifting the hood. "Good I'm hungry again." Jessy sighed. "Well that's just wonderful." Diana sighed, adding, "Walker let's get her to breakfast." The four made their way around the lake and to the house, "What happened here? You said you made breakfast." Jessy squealed looking at the mess and the few leftovers, gasping, "My goodness Zoe who did that to you?" There in her highchair, the tray covered with pancakes and syrup, Zoe sat with a piece of pancake in her hair and one stuck on her nose. "Me no no." Zoe answered and the room laughed. "Did the pancake get you?" Jessy asked plucking the piece from her head then her nose, adding, "Bad pancake." "Here Jessy catch." Isaac said wetting a rag and tossing it her way. "Here we go sticky girl." Jessy said wiping her hair, face and hands, adding, "That's better. Tay grab her for me." Jessy removed her bib then Taylor lifted her and set her free. "Two pancakes left. You guys are pigs." Walker complained. "Two pancakes." Jessy moaned. "It's okay Jessy. Let me get your hair dried and then I'll take you breakfast." Taylor said heading to the bathroom returning with a hair dryer. "Tay you can't do this." Jessy whispered as he plugged in the dryer and began drying her hair. "I know how to dry hair Jessy." Taylor insisted loudly. "Not that Tay. You can't take me to breakfast." Jessy whispered. "Why not? You won't go with me?" Taylor asked confused as everyone stared at them. "You know I won't be seen in public with you." Jessy insisted pushing the dryer away, turning and heading out the door. "Jessy wait. Please stop." Taylor called racing after her. "Just drop it Tay." Jessy mumbled stopping and sitting on the steps. "I honestly forgot Jessy." Taylor said taking a seat next to her. "Yeah right. You forgot." Jessy said patting her belly, rolling her eyes at him then shaking her head no. "You'd think I would have noticed huh?" Taylor teased.
