"That's it. I've got it. I've got it." Jessy squealed late one night, sitting up in bed, turning on the light before dialing the phone. "Oh what are you doing sleeping at a time like this?" Jessy said. "Huh? Are you okay? Do you have any idea what time it is?" Isaac mumbled wiping the sleep from his eyes, squinting at the clock. "Jesus it's 3am. Are you sure you're all right?" Isaac insisted. "Yeah I'm fine. It's just... Man I've got it. The perfect gotcha for Zac." Jessy squealed and shared her idea. "I have to admit this is good. I'm in on it." Isaac agreed and they made plans. A week later, "I said no Zac. I am not waddling into some party where I don't know anyone but the three of you. No way. You're crazy if you think I would." Jessy argued heading away from him. "Jessy you'll be fine. We know everybody that will be there." Zac argued. "I said no and I mean it." Jessy screamed racing to her room and locking the door. "Man Zac drop it before you really piss her off." Isaac exclaimed and the two headed up to the house for Taylor before heading to the party. Jessy dressed in her hottest outfit and headed to the garage and the yellow Volkswagen Beatle they had bought her to use. Jessy followed the directions Isaac had given her, "Whoa big party. Maybe I better not." Jessy fretted as her cell phone rang. "Hello." she answered. "Did you chicken out?" Isaac asked. "I was just about to." Jessy answered and he talked her into going. Jessy followed his instructions and pulled into the driveway past the sign that said DO NOT PARK HERE. As she got out of the car, she took a quick look in the rear view mirror, checking her makeup and hair then straightened her clothes before making her way inside. The party was in full swing, music blaring and people everywhere. She turned all heads as she made her way through the house. The whispers grew louder and louder the further she made her way through the room. Like he'd promised, Isaac raised his hand and Jessy made her way to him. A quick wink and she made her way past him, "Zac. I don't believe it. Hey Babe. I have missed you so much." Jessy squealed marching directly to Zac throwing her arms around him and kissing him passionately. "Why didn't you call me? You said you'd call. I have something to tell you." Jessy announced stepping back a little before looking down at her belly, then back up at him. Zac was totally speechless. He stood there with his mouth hanging open just gawking at her at first. "Aren't you going to say something? Aren't you happy to see me?" Jessy barely whispered looking as if she were about to cry. "Be that way. This was a mistake. You didn't call for a reason huh?" Jessy asked accusingly, adding, "You said you loved me?" Suddenly the look on Zac's face changed to one of horror and he was no longer looking at her. "Goodbye then." Jessy screamed turning to make her way from the room catching a glimpse of Taylor as he bolted from the room. "I never thought about him." Jessy gasped thinking to herself. She raced from the room as the tears began to fall. "Oh Taylor I'm sorry." Jessy whimpered as she made her way to the driveway and her car quickly racing away. Back at home she nervously awaited word, hoping that Taylor was okay. "That can't be good." Jessy said noticing the light in their room on and the clock only read 9pm. After more pacing and waiting Jessy finally headed in to change for bed. Jessy made her way out to the front porch after retrieving a blanket and she curled up in a chair, gazing at their window, praying they'd call or come out to tell her he was okay. "Taylor." Jessy squealed as someone woke her when the lifted her from the chair. "No Jessy. It's me Ike." Isaac explained carrying her into the house. "you're freezing. What were you doing out there?" Isaac asked slipping her onto the couch, covering her with another throw before heading to the kitchen warming some milk. "Is he okay?" Jessy asked. "Who? Zac? He's pissed." Isaac answered. "I don't care. I mean how's Taylor? I never thought about him honest. I just about died when I turned around and saw him racing from the room." Jessy shared. "What? You're worried about Taylor not Zac?" Isaac asked totally confused. "Huh? I guess I am. Whoa. What's wrong with me?" Jessy mumbled shocked at the revelation, putting the back of her hand to her forehead, adding, "Nope that's not it." "You goofball. You better get to bed." Isaac insisted heading back to the house. Jessy tried but just tossed and turned. She tried reading hoping that would put her to sleep but nothing. "Jessy you okay?" she heard after a light rap on the door. "Yeah I just can't sleep." Jessy said grabbing a robe and heading to the door, stopping in her tracks when she looked up and found Taylor standing at the door. After just staring at him, "I'm sorry. How rude. Come on in, It's a little nippy out there. I feel to sleep in the chair earlier." Jessy shared opening the door, pleased when he entered. "Taylor." Jessy said as Taylor said, "Jessy." They both laughed. "I saw the light on and got worried. You're usually asleep by now." Taylor explained constantly looking away. "Yeah I usually am but I'm not usually so guilt ridden that I can't fall asleep. Everytime I start to nod off, I... I... Oh Taylor I'm sorry. I never even considered how that stunt would make you feel." Jessy shared. "You what? You think about how I feel?" Taylor asked totally shocked. "Yeah I do. I'm not totally insensitive." Jessy said defensively about to cry. "Don't cry Jessy. It's just I figure you hate me is all and would never consider how I feel. Well maybe if it was to make me feel worse than I already do." Taylor explained reaching for her hands but quickly pulling away and stepping back. "Ohhhh." Jessy gasped looking at the pain on his face as her stomach began to churn. "Uhhh." Jessy moaned as the room swayed and her knees began to buckle. "Jessy you okay?" Taylor asked reaching for her, holding her up. "I think I'm going to be sick." Jessy gasped placing a hand to her mouth. Before she could take the first step, Taylor whisked her into his arms and raced to the bathroom. As she kneeled in front of the toilet, Taylor reached and pulled back her hair, reaching for a hair tye and pulling it away from her face. While she finished he retrieved a washcloth so she might wipe her face. "Thanks." Jessy said reaching for the washcloth then sitting, leaning against the wall. "You okay now?" Taylor asked. "Help me up?" Jessy asked reaching her hands for his. "Sure Jessy. Anything. I do just anything for you." Taylor answered quickly looking away. "Tay?" Jessy asked as he pulled her to her feet. "Yeah Jessy." Taylor replied looking at the floor. "I'm up here Taylor." Jessy whispered with a giggle. "Huh?" Taylor asked looking up at her. "Taylor I.. I.. Man I thought I could do this. Umm can we go sit down?" Jessy asked heading to the living room as Taylor followed. She sat on one of the couches and Taylor sat in a chair once again looking at the floor. "i try real hard to keep them clean but sometimes it just disappears from my view." Jessy shared. "What?" Taylor asked confused again. "The floor. I try to keep it clean but sometimes it's hard to see." Jessy shared patting her belly then smiling, adding, "Well hello there." Taylor just gawked at her belly, watching as she slowly stroked it. "Taylor would you like to... Taylor I have to tell you I.." Jessy mumbled trying to find the right words. "I know. I know. You hate me. I'm sorry Jessy I didn't mean for this to happen. Not like this." Taylor interrupted such hurt in his voice. "No Taylor that's not what I was trying to say." Jessy shared rising and making her way to him. "Taylor would you like to feel the baby, your baby?" Jessy asked taking him by surprise. Tears filled his eyes as he looked up at her, shaking his head yes. "Give me you hand then." Jessy said reaching for his hand, placing it against her belly stroking until the felt the baby. "Oh my God." Taylor gasped moved to tears placing his other hand on her belly. "Taylor I don't hate you. I really don't. I hate what you did and I hold you responsible for your actions that night. But I don't hate you." Jessy whispered. "I'm so sorry Jessy. Can you ever forgive me?" Taylor choked out as the tears flowed freely. "I already have Taylor." Jessy whispered gently stroking his hair as he cried. "What?" Taylor asked as she pulled away heading to her room, turning off the light and returning with a blanket. Jessy stood in front of him one more time smiling before pushing him back into the chair then crawling onto his lap and covering them both with the blanket. "It's okay if you at least breathe." Jessy teased picking up his hand, placing it on her belly the adding, "I think someone wants to get to know you." In the peaceful darkness of the night, Taylor met his child for the first time. "Hello." Jessy answered and the phone rang startling them both. "You can't sleep. Are you okay sweetie?" Diana asked. "Who is it?" Taylor whispered. "I just can't seem to get to sleep. I tried warm milk, reading a book but nothing's worked Mom." Jessy replied. "Maybe if you sent your company home, you could." Diana suggested, quickly adding, "Or maybe not.' "Or maybe not I think." Jessy replied. "You take it easy. Goodnight sweetie." Diana shared. "Your Mom thinks I'd sleep if I sent my company home." Jessy shared then cuddling against him, placing his hand back on the baby, adding, "Or maybe not." In a matter of minutes the two of them were sound asleep.
