Half way through her pregnancy, Jessy moved to Tulsa. It had been months since they had seen her and were shocked by her appearance. Dressed totally in black, big baggy jeans and an even baggier tee to disguise her loss of weight."I hope this will be okay sweetie?" Walker asked taking her by the hand and leading her into the house. "I've been after him since we built the house to build me a lakehouse. Thank you sweetie." Diana shared wrapping an arm around her leading her throughout the house. "Now you be honest with us Jessy, if there is anything, anything at all you don't like or anything else you need, you just tell us." Walker insisted as the tour of the house finished. "What? This place is fantastic just as it is. I wouldn't change a thing." Jessy exclaimed and they all pitched in to help her move. Everyone that is except for Taylor. He had been ordered to keep his distance and was barred from Jessy's until she said otherwise. Perhaps it was the newness of everything but for a change, the constant queasiness was almost tolerable. The daily visits from Zoe made a world of difference and soon the color had returned to her complexion and even though she didn't gain any weight, Jessy finally stopped losing weight. Shortly after moving in Jessie and Avie were told why Jessy had moved in with them. Jessie had the hardest time dealing with the news. She was angry, extremely angry with her brother and having a hard time dealing with the anger. So much so that Jessy asked her to move in with her for a while to stop the fighting. "Jessy are you sure? I mean it's like heaven not having to listen to the two of them fighting but you need your privacy. It's the least we can do for you." Diana asked. "Yeah I'm sure Mom. I'm not doing this just for you guys. Not even for Jessie and Tay. Helping her deal with her anger as opened my eyes. I was so filled with anger for him. I even tried to hate him. It broke my heart to hate him. That's when I realized it wasn't him it was what he did." Jessy explained taking her hands in hers, adding, "Mom sometimes I feel so bad for Tay. Maybe someday I'll be able to tell him I don't hate him." "I can only pray. Jessy don't do this for me or Tay. Do it for you." Diana insisted. "You know that's what has changed Mom. This isn't just about me anymore." Jessy shared pulling away walking to the windows overlooking the lake. After a few minutes of gazing at the lake then the Hanson's house, "It's not just about me or Tay. Sometimes I have nightmares about it. You know the baby all grown up and asking me why I never let him or her see it's father? Why I hate their father?" Jessy shared with a look of terror in her eyes. "Taylor has that same look at times. I wonder.." Diana shared standing beside her looking out at the lake. "He does?" Jessy gasped, adding in a whisper, "He thinks about the baby? I mean... you know as a person." "Yes Jessy. Even mean, rotten, despicable Taylor thinks about the baby and how he'll ever explain what happened to him or her." Diana shared lightly kissing her forehead before heading back to the house, waving goodbye to her right before she entered her own home. Helping Jessie deal with her feelings over what Taylor had done brought both of them and Isaac and Zac much closer. By the time Jessie moved back home, it was a nightly ritual of dinner, movies or just talking between Jessy, Isaac and Zac. "Sometimes I don't believe you. I'm so hurt. How could you do such a thing?" Jessy yellwed at Zac entering the house almost slamming the door in his face. "How could I do what?" Zac asked acting totally innocent. "What? That! That's what." Jessy screamed pointing at Isaac entering the house carrying a watermelon. "I almost died when you yelled for the whole world to hear, 'Jessy you don't have to steal a watermelon, I'll buy it for you.' then stand there pointing at m belly. I'll never forgive you for the store manager who asked me to pull up my shirt so he could look for a watermelon." Jessy screamed both arms flailing as she spoke. "Man was he embarassed." Isaac shared with a chuckle. "Him embarassed. I was mortified and it's all your fault." Jessy squealed pointing at Zac again. "Hey now I'm not the one who had to have a watermelon. A fresh watermelon to be exact. I was happy with the frozen stuff Mom had." Zac replied sticking out his tongue. "Well you.. you.. You there! Yeah you. Step away from the watermelon it's mine. All mine." Jessy threatened grabbing a cleaver and making her way to the watermelon splitting it in half. "What are you doing?" Jessy asked watching Zac open a cupboard grabbing plates before opening a drawer, grabbing three forks. "We are not animals Jessy. We each with silverware not our fingers. Ewwww!" Zac answered looking down his nose at her. "I don't believe you. Do you get some sort of cheap thrill, teasing and embarassing me?" Jessy asked. "Well yes I do." Zac answered in a serious tone. "Ahhh!! I give up you are impossible." Jessy squealed racing from the room. "Zac you gotta be careful. One of these times you are going to push her too far. I wouldn't want to be you if that happens." Isaac warned heading after Jessy. That seemed to be the way things went, Zac pissed her off and Isaac smoothed things over. The three became close friends. So close that Zac decided that somehow he would help Jessy deal with everything, help her to live again. "Close your eyes Jessy." Zac hollered opening her door and sticking his head in. "In your dreams. No way. Nuh uh. I'm no fool. You've got to be crazy if you think I would close my eyes around you. What's the plan huh? I know paint a big arrow pointng at the baby. No, no, I've got it. You're going to paint a target on my belly." Jessy shared. "No Jessy I swear it's nothing like that. Please just close your eyes." Zac pleaded causing Jessy to reluctantly close her eyes. She was intrigued by the sounds that filled the room. "Can I open them now?" Jessy asked. "No not quite yet." Zac squealed from outside then she heard the door close, "Now." he announced. "What on earth?" Jessy squealed opening her eyes to the couch and two chairs covered with boxes or bags of clothing, materity clothing. "Jessy don't get mad but I was just getting tired of you hiding from the world and hiding in the black and baggies like you do." Zac answered. finally persuading her to try on his favorite outfit. "Man you look great Jessy." Zac exclaimed as she returned. "Oh Zac this is so wonderful. How can I ever thank you? To be honest I was tired of the black and baggies too. You were right." Jessy squealed with joy. "What did you say? Could I get that in writing?" Zac teased. "You don't always have to tease Zac. It's okay with me if you say something nice." Jessy whispered before hugging him tight. "Enough of that. You trying to suffocate me?" Zac teased, quickly adding, "You said you didn't know how to thank me. Jessy I want you to come to dinner with me. Now. You look awesome and you should show the world." "I don't know Zac." Jessy replied suddenly full of fears, panicking as he picked up the phone. "Hey Mom is it okay if I bring someone home to dinner?" Zac asked, adding, "Before you think about it, it's Jessy." "What? Really Zac. Thank you Jesus. Please do. This is just wonderful." Diana replied as Zac placed the phone to her ear. Jessy listened as she shared with the rest of them and they all squealed with joy. "Zac I don't know." Jessy mumbled. "That's okay Jessy, I do. Let's go." Zac insisted leading her by the hand out the front door. The minute they stepped outside the wind raced right through her and she shivered. "I'll get you a sweater. There's one that goes with this outfit." Zac said racing back inside, quickly returning and helping her own with the sweater. The two walked slowly up to the house as Jessy dragged her feet the closer they got. Walker and Zoe joined them down by the lake. Walker knew she couldn't resist Zoe, "Me Essy come eat." Zoe squealed racing her way. "You look so beautiful baby." Walker exclaimed hugging her tight, kissing her cheek. "Zac bought it for me. This and much more." Jessy shared smiling from ear to ear. "I had help." Zac confessed causing Jessy to glare at him in wonder. It was extremely awkward at first. Everyone trying so hard not to say something to upset Jessy. Upset she got everytime she looked at the pain in Taylor's eyes. He barely looked at her when she was watching and didn't speak a word. "here Jessy, let me help you out of this." Zac said placing his hands on her sweater. "Thanks, I was getting a little warm." Jessy answered and a loud crash rang throughout the room as Zac pulled her sweater free. Everyone turned to find Diana just staring at Jessy as a tear broke free, finding it's way down her cheek. "Diana my Lord what?" Walker asked turning to where she was looking, sighing, "Oh my dear Lord thank you for blessing us so." "Jessy you look so beautiful. I just didn't realize. Look at my grandbaby." Diana gasped making her way across the room to Jessy, first touching her belly before bending to kiss it. Walker quickly joined her as did the girls. In the background Jessy watched as Isaac helped Taylor clean up what was going to be supper. "I'll just go to Rex's. Call so it's ready when I get there." Taylor said making a quick exit. This was just the first of many dinners together. Jessy became more and more involved with the whole family little by little, waiting for the day she might finally tell Taylor she didn't hate him.
